  1. Yeah that's the varex system mark, I get that, I ment the system lexx was describing. so like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-INCH-THROTTLE-CONTROL-ELECTRIC-EXHAUST-CUT-OUT-VALVE-SWITCH-Y-PIPE-KIT-SET-/350803970129?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item51ad8bc851 I'm in talks with Stuart from AAS now via email. so far prices seem very reasonable, he said the system can be built to the noise I want....reckon if I just sent him si's video he'd be able to replicate that?

  3. That does sound nice. but how does the cut out work? does it just block the pipe? or does it redirect the flow somewhere else? I've seem the Y pip fittings where it just kicks it out before the backbox i.e. loud as ****, or I've seen the butterfly valves that just look like they stop the flow. which then confuses me as to where it goes? wouldn't it just build up a back pressure effecting the turbo's? or does this system work completely different?

  5. Cheers guys, guna have a look at it now, see what I can find.

  7. I didn't think the tips look much bigger than mine, but there is a variety to choose from. They would be getting fitted custom, so i'd hope the fitting would be spot on. but the valves can be adjusted to achieve the sound you want, not just open or close options, hell if you really want you can wire it to open when a certain rev range is reached. I keep meaning to give AAS an email, but forgetting. i'll get it done now, cheers.

  9. After some determination I've managed to find this gem. Baring in mind mine would be a 2.5" instead of a 3" so would be a bit quieter with the valve open, but i'm been swayed more into a xpipe center section if I can find one separate with resonators. What do you guys think? - - - Updated - - - There is another video but it won't let me embed it for some reason...
  10. I don't get it  Yeah that's what I meant by 'the switch on the pedal' I found that on the manual from the android app that si posted earlier, but I was struggling to find an actual circuit diagram for the lights, so I don't even know if they're ran through a relay, i'd assume they are just because of the reasonable amount of current drawn by the 6 or so lamps.
  11. Yeah that's what I thought, not looking foreword to splitting that apart though. I can't find the relay location though to check that. haven't got time look at it tonight so i'll do it tomorrow. I hope its a quick fix though
  12. Got home tonight to realise the break lights wouldn't switch off. way to dark to be pissing about, couldn't find the fuse so thought it would be easier to pull the bulbs out, burnt my thumb in the process :cursing: and then forgot about the middle one (I forget it's there because you can't see it) couldn't be bothered digging a screw driver out so I just disconnected the battery in the end. Any ideas what it could be? I'm guessing either the switch on the pedal, or a stuck relay. found what looked like the remains of a green fruit polo in the footwell if that sheds any light.
  13. So which is the one in the video? and would you consider parting with one? cat back preferably, although i'm assuming your's will be 3"??
  14. which one was that lee? didn't look like the last one I saw on yours
  15. Ignore me, i'd changed the postal address to my mams work thinking nobody would be in at home. but I got home to find they'd been left at a neighbours. Thanks again Jerrick i'll be fitting them tomorrow.
  16. Did mine get posted out Jerrick? I paid on Tuesday but stil nothing's come...
  17. Is that the labree? I checked z1, they only had dual tips, and that looked expensive, and that was before shipping...
  18. It'd have to be a dual exit, single wouldn't look right on my bumper. I'll give Z1 a shout, see what they say.
  19. But what about the exhaust itself? any experience of that? I'm not all that comfortable with buying from overseas at the best of times, but if the system is worth the gamble then I may be tempted.
  20. Sorry to keep banging the same drum, but my quest for a new exhaust is not over yet. I was recommended this shop from a bloke on the Aus forum. and looking at their collection, this one stands out. Any one had any history with the shop or the system? http://www.amsmotorsports.com/shop/ind/300zx-z32/exhaust/greddy-spectrum-elite-catback-systems.html
  21. I've been tempted by an S15 recently, a nice unmolested one, probably around an 02 plate. I figure I could sell my zed, and my daily driver civic and just have the one car. but I couldn't do it, the amount of love and affection that's gone into it is way to great to consider getting rid yet. however, if I right it off, then that's the plan...
  22. Balance paid, just hope the weather holds out for the weekend and I can get the bad boys fitted.
  23. Yeah i'd seen that si, but i'm not really too impressed with the dual tips, the mongoose ones seem a little small. have you ever had a greddy one? http://www.amsmotorsports.com/shop/ind/300zx-z32/exhaust/greddy-spectrum-elite-catback-systems.html
  24. So now that it's closed and deposits are all paid are we able to get some sent out this week? :whistling: Apologies for the haste i'm just excited...
