  1. personally I would of thought that was a steel. an absolute bargain, I was willing to pay a good chunk of that just for the front bumper. :crying: you'll have to get some pics up of it when you get it. So are you getting another in a few weeks Paul? any chance of putting some bids on it?
  2. That doe sound nice, don 't think the mic on the camera can do It justice though. but yeah that is a little too loud for my taste. I got dibs on the veilside :gun_bandana:
  3. Yeah this is what I thought, other than the Nissan impul photo of the silver one, i'm still yet to see a zed with the full kit and yet this guy manages to find two in the space of a few weeks. he clearly knows where to look. Not that I know a lot about body kits or anything, but would it be possible for someone to make a copy of one if they had the original? Dave for instance?
  4. I've already got the skirts and rear, just want the front....game on
  5. That is a very pretty car. strange how even though your just up the road I've never seen it in the flesh. I asked how much it went for an the guys response was a soul destroying £500 But he said it was a JDM Veilside kit????
  6. Got a message back form this, turns out the body kit is sold :cursing: someone is a lucky fellow.
  7. wheel-barrow-donkey-dicks   I tried googling veilside exhausts but all I got was a couple of sexy sounding video's and some old threads from a load of forums. i'm guessing these will be about as rare as that impul kit. There's a guy with a full kakimoto system, just waiting for him to get back in the country and send me a few more photo's. He wanted £800 for the lot, but because I already have stainless front pipes I was hoping to get it a bit cheaper, well a lot cheaper if i'm honest If it's looking close to the varex ones then I think i'll probably go with them, they do look like a quality piece of kit.
  8. oooh, sexy stuff. I thought you meant your buckets were veilside. we'll have to get a meet sorted at some point. before the weather goes tits up again.
  9. have you got a full impul kit lee? any photo's?
  10. are the boxes mongoose too? it sounds nice, what's it like on motorway though, or just round town?
  11. mine came with a mid level, it's in my loft painted up. thought the 99spec one suited it better, makes the whole rear look more round if you get me.
  12. I didn't know there was a spoiler, the only photo's I've seen are with a high level one. if I do manage to get it, it probably won't be going on for a while. maybe in time for next summer...
  13. I've already messaged him  ******* would have to come up weeks after mine leaves the body shop.
  14. Yeah that's what I was saying, there's no way he'd save them. I've been tipped off about a kakimoto stainless too, i'm guna pursue that see what I can get it for. cheers for the info though.
  15. So i'm guessing without CAT's it'd be a little louder then? what age is it that decats become a problem for M.O.T's? Lee your's is a bucket, I reckon I could fit my head in them. although it does sound pretty. I've found a japspeed cat back system on ebay, it's seems a little cheep, I reckon it'll be loud as ****, there's no resonators or anything, just looks straight through. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAPSPEED-NISSAN-300ZX-1990-1996-TURBO-NON-TURBO-STAINLESS-STEEL-CATBACK-EXHAUST-/160819035415?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ANissan%7CModel%3A300+ZX&hash=item25718fbd17 Looking on some other sites there's some ridiculously priced systems, makes me think that the £700 odd i'd pay to have the varex fitted may not be that bad. I took the wheel off earlier to check some rubbing under my arch and got a photo of the exhaust, the bloke in Darlo said he could save the back boxes by just welding the new pipe on, but from the looks of them they'll probably disintegrate...
  16. Ah, I think mine are just one pip from the turbo's to the centre section. I could be wrong though.
  17. Bit of an older one of mine but here it is next to an old ed (I think) civic sedan. both cars look a little different now though.
  18. Another stupid question but which are the downpipes? am I right in saying that my front pipes bolt straight onto the turbo's I can't actually remember now. I've noticed the mongoose does seem to be popular, and Richard's look nice, but I would like something a little larger.
  19. How do cut outs work? I've seen apexi valves that fit in the pip but they don't seem to direct the flow anywhere, just shut it off. surely that can't be good. I gave them a google but there website doesn't really give much away, and it's a long way to go for a quote. may have to send them some emails and see what they say. I've never been a massive fan of the twin tips, but looking at them photo's you may have changed my mind. I think it's because they're bigger than the standard ones, but they do look really nice. Would probably suit my rear bumper better too than one big pipe. xforce do a twin tip too for the same price as the others. and reading the thread it looks like they weren't cheep, so i'm guessing if I do get the Australian ones then it won't be massively more expensive than others. which is a little reassuring. Are the resonators fitted in the centre xpipe? Si that does sound awesome :cool2:, is that with CAT's and what type centre section? Bit of a daft question, but the two box thingy's in my centre section, are they resonators :blushing:? How much difference does the shape of the centre section make? Mine looks like a H join but I believe its actually two separate systems, and they don't actually join, having it off in the past and looking down it, it looks like two separate pipes.
  20. If some of you remember i'm looking at changing my exhaust, The pipes from my mid section to the backbox are badly corroded and have got little holes behind the wheels and they're slowly getting bigger. I'm still unsure what to do. I've managed to find a place in Darlington that will replace those two pipes with stainless and attach them to my original Kakimoto boxes for £80 a side. however the boxes are quite old and looking through the pipe it doesn't seem to have a lot of packing left inside them. The bloke said if I provide new back boxes he will fit them at no extra charge. but if he were to be providing the back boxes then it would be £200 a side, but he said it would be very loud, and would probably ruin it. So in the spirit of keeping it quiet I've come across the Xflow varex mufflers, for those that aren't familiar its basically a muffler with a remote operated butterfly valve in the box giving you the option of a silenced muffled sound, or at the push of a button a straight through pipe http://www.xforce.com.au/about-varex-remote-control-sports-muffler.php the only problem been is that they are based in Australia, so shipping is expensive Through talks with a bloke on ebay I've managed to work out a deal that will get me a pair of the 2.5" cannon boxes (or ovals, haven't quite decided yet) to my door for around £665 including VAT at customs and excise. then there's the £80 fitting each of course on top. I just can't decide weather that's a little over the top or not, just to have a change of sound on the mufflers. My worry is if I buy another system off the shelf then it'll end up been too loud and i'll regret doing it. Any thoughts or ideas? What system is most common, and what do they sound like? I like a roar when smashing it about some country roads, but I hate a constant drone on motorway trips. mine at present isn't too bad, but at the same time i'm only comparing it to my friends systems on their cars. I've never actually heard another zed from the inside...
  21. Zeta-S for me please Jerrick, and I can pay the remaining £424 on Wednesday if that's ok. will that give me delivery for the weekend?
  22. I asked if the owner was there. and the guy said 'no it's in for a job, we're waiting on spares' and that's all I got. he didn't seem too happy really, but probably because he thought I was scoping the place out to rob it.
  23. Here's a link to peter's ipad install video, it is a nice bit of kit. unsure if he still has it though. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?149286-Walkaround-of-my-Zed-including-new-Stereo
