  1. its either the same or very close. Proper flip paint like thse is very expensive to buy.
  2. The areas you have treated WILL stay rust free for a long time. Fact Good job... Well worth doing. If the cars had been treated like that on the production line then Arches and sills rusting through from the inside would be a rare occurrence.
  3. Yeah! but I just tried to book a test drive........its not on the list. i reckon thats a 3" plastic model and some nifty camera work.:lol: I wanna see the real thing... In the metal:rockon:
  4. Anyone know anything about it?? Wot engine etc?? Ever seen one?? Etc etc
  5. I didnt fit the belts:huh: Im sure Bob will tell you about the tyres. They were a last minute rush and I think some 888s are on the wish/shopping list:thumbup1: we also need your input (off forum) to assist with one of the little niggles that need fixing. :thumbup:
  6. Low and behold.... They were!! Wheels arrived from Japan just in time to get some Rubber on them before today!! Which was Bobs first outing in the car. Trackday at Silverstone. It was a good day out and the car behaved very well. There are only a couple of minor issues to address. The track was damp in the morning with several people spinning. That kept Bob in check a little too. After lunch the track had dried out and some quicker laps were seen. There were several very quick cars on track and lots of real interest. Here are a few pics of the new wheels ( very smart and nicely understated IMO) Also some pics of the day in general.
  7. 1 2 Yep.the answer is between these two numbers.:cool3:
  8. Check out the meet thread!!! As far as we know its free to spectate
  9. Well come along....... everyone has been invited http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=146918 Bring yer camera....and yer skid lid... you never know:w00t:
  10. Stuff like this on a 300ZX is a bit like Marmite.:D Either you do:rockon: .... or you dont.:hurl: I belong in the "dont" section. They are the stuff of Pimp My Ride and/or 20th century Mafia gansters IMHO
  11. LOL! Its been for sale for some time then:blink: I wonder who has stolen 3rd gear???:biggrin:
  12. Bobgenie has booked himself a track day session at Silverstone on Sat 12 Feb to debut his new car! I will be going along for a look-see so I wondered if anyone else fancied coming along for a bit of an informal mini meet. Here is the thread Bob put up..........http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=146818 This is the trackday organizer......http://www.goldtrack.co.uk/ Bob has just confirmed his booking today and is having a pit garage so we will have somewhere dry in case of rain. Its my understanding that you can just drive in and spectate at this event without paying owt but I will try and confirm. There should be some catering facility open too. So we could meet . have a natter and something to eat/drink and watch Bob knock three bells outta his brand new built mota!! He wont have driven it before the day:helpsmilie: Could be interesting.:devil2: There will probably be some other quick motors on track too. Anyone up for this???
  13. Well I hate to tell you but there are NO £50 scrappers to be found anywhere........... they have all been weighed in already:blush:
  14. well you have just seen about 30 today.......so stop complaining:lol::lol:
  15. As with ALL 300ZX meets its simply not about the car its about a bunch of like minded people getting together to enjoy themselves. There were lots of people there without a 300 including me. It didnt spoil my day not having the Zed .
  16. Yep! I woz born in a hard/mean city.............................Glasgow:blink: BTW Bob........DO NOT wreck my tyres at Silverstone:no: Or I will be re-negotiating the price considerably.:tongue_smilie: :rofl::rofl::rofl:
  17. There is a whole 12 page thread about the project:whistling:
  18. Another blindingly simple fact that seems to escape many people/discussions.
  19. Absolutely Spot on Dave. This post shold be made a Sticky. It sums it all up very nicely without going too deep in to the subject.
  20. No feel/pressure in the pedal usually means the hydraulics have gone.... on an extended holiday .
