  1. The Z Club Drag Challenge is organized by Mike Feeney from MJP. Aka Mr F on this forum. It has been running as a series of events for many many years. It is in no way connected to the Z011 canceled event.
  2. Happy Birthday John. If I had known earlier today i would have said it on the phone when you rang Dave at Emerald!!! Steve and me were there with his car... again!!!
  3. Well I have been outside all day. I have been getting on with my slicktop project. Today I got some series 2 seatbelts fitted to the ser 1 shell. I also make a bracket that is welded to my manual adapted subframe to take the stock belt as an alternative to the full harness I normally use. Best of both worlds now. Both fit.
  4. The proper wire is the way to go. It is easy to snag on welds and various edges of metal.
  5. Just get a roll of windscteen removal wire from any windscreen company. Job done:thumbup1:
  6. Yes mate..... windscreen fitted!!:gun_bandana:
  7. I have a 75% sucess rate on removal!! First one I did failed. the following three were all OK.:tt2:
  8. Today I added a new skill to my skillset... Fitted a bonded windscreen. I am pleased to report that its relatively easy!! I just followed the advice given my my mate who supplies windscreens. I bought a tube of the correct sealant from him. Cleaned up the metal of old seal and also the screen. Did a trial position/fit and screwed a couple of self tappers on the bottom scuttle to take the weight while fitting/bonding. The canister of seal came with a notched nozzle to ensure a nice thick bead of sealant comes out when put in the gun. Did a bead all round. Then with help from a mate we lowered the glass on to the sealant using the self tappers to align and support the glass. A gentle press all the way round to ensure a 100% seal . Then walk away!!! Job done. A couple of hours later.. its gone off and fully bonded.
  9. Yes its more money but it will do wot is says on the label..... brace the strut towers. The ebay one will do what I would expect a £20 piece of bling to do... look nice.... nothing more. As Yowser says its hinged. so it wont brace anything.
  10. Well I have a 2 ton ally racing jack and TBH I wouldnt use anything less. In theory it will be within its lifting capacity. Im sure someone else will be along to say its fine.
  11. I dont see what the problem is frankly... you are happily married with a family. You presumably have a job and you can afford to run a 300ZX. There are hundreds of thousands of people who would love to be in your shoes. Just get the car finished ... and enjoy with pride..
  12. Just make sure they havent had another break in and the engine is sat in a field somewhere:whistling:
  13. Fuel tank totally different!
  14. It might well be the only bid at the mo....... BUT how many peeps on here have got it in their watch list???:winkiss:
  15. nobody can give you your answer. Only yourself. Although this is a one make car forum(Z32) it has a huge variety of cars specs and opinions. Its one of the reasons its such a great club. Diversity rules. Baz has just put over his point of view. Mine is totally different. I only own and play with NAs by choice. I have spent more money on my NA engine than many people spend buying a whole TT car. Why???? Cos I want to. If I wanted a TT I would just buy one tomorrow morning. Make your own decisions.... and enjoy
  16. Im afraid not. I have gone Emerald stand alone ECU on mine.
  17. Later Cars in pearl white are much whiter tha the early ones. I have a good bumper support here. We can check it out when you come over.
  18. Now thats just silly talk!! Everything is for sale if the price is right:thumbup1:
  19. You do .... when you are at work!!!
  20. On a nice mota like yours I would pay someone else. Its not really the job for a first try welder IMO Pick something easier if you want to have a go. DIY welding is very satisfying.
  21. Last ones I sold were £75 a pair. Was about six months ago. Prices like all scrap do vary.
  22. And in Hellraisers case he only needs an early series injector which are relatively common.
  23. Brightly painted calipers are sooooo 20th century. As seen on all Saxos and Novas:lol:
