  1. A good question and one that I will be answering with an article in the Z Club Magazine soon along with some pics and a description from a skilled operator. However a basic reply here. A jig is a huge flat steel bed on wheels with multiple attachment points on it. The damaged car is bolted to the jig. Measurement points are taken and then chains/pullers are attached to pull the jig with the car attached till the shell measures correctly ie is straight and true. The dance variety come in Scottish and Irish versions.LOL!
  2. No they're not . They are now in Burton on Trent. Tel 01283 517935. Top people. You can Try Wheels UK in Coventry. They do internal Hex type narrow nuts and a locking version too.
  3. i have one from a J spec 2+2 in KH2 graphite grey. undamaged.No rips/splits Collect only from Nottingham. £25. pmaczc@madasafish.com
  4. If you are sitting stationary in neutral what revs does the engine tick over at?? Once its fully warm. Now when you depress the clutch fully does it then stall???
  5. I dont see one in my kit. there are loads on ebay at the moment for sale. As cheap as £20 too I think.
  6. As reining Z Club Drag Challenge Champion I will be at most rounds this year. Im also looking to try some bracket racing at York in the Street ET class, which is a 12.9 sec class.(ie cars that run 12.9 and over) Nobody in a 300Zx ever seems to have the neccessary skills and power to get a run at TOTB. I certainly wont be in the running to qualify with my lowly NA. power output.
  7. autosport is on Sat too. So Autosport Sat MidlandsMeet Sun BIG TROUBLE with missus Sun nite!
  8. Best get yer name down for the next Midlands meet then! Slicktops do RULE  It will be good to see ya back in the mota bud.
  9. Remember that new rear screen trims are over £200. and I can confirm that removing the rear glass is a real barsteward of a job. ive done one. Not doing anymore tho....
  10. Some VERY wise words here from "Essex Man" Obviously as a long term NA owner I dont entirely agree with his view of the NA. There are just as many threads on moddifying TTs to go faster as well. the advice on age and maintenance is spot on tho. How many H or J plate Sierras or Cavaliers do you see on the motorways now. The 300ZX in either form is a hugely complex car in comparison to lowly fodder like Fiestas , Sierras etc so maintenance is important and faults are gonna occur. But for the money they are a huge bargain. IMO
  11. Gimme a call tomorrow mate. 01773 761238 or 07778 411568 and I will fill you in on some details. then you cane come up to Notts and try em both. But its bed time now... for me anyway
  12. Yes I have. My well known Slick top will soon be for sale too(Its an NA) Due to new project under construction!
  13. Yes it will do for a novice like me. thanks to Hellraiser for the program tips and to Dave for his original post on the "how to post pics" thread. Cheers guys. Living proof that old people can cope with new technology................ ......eventually.
  14. Hopefully Ive picked the right size?
  15. Probably. Ill ring him when he gets back from Hols and "invite" him
  16. If you just want a "charger" then that will do. However if you want a "booster/ starter" facility also then This will be OK.... TBH I was thinking of buying the booster one you listed at Machine Mart.
  17. Just come in the peugot then Scrawni! :duffer: on me yer always skint cos ya got a Zed. :o
  18. IIRC Lorna sold the car some time ago, so I dont expect she looks in on here now.
  19. Oih! :slap:
  20. 8mm multi hex socket did my similar looking Taneisha Split rims. Same problem initially.... couldnt find anything to fit internal size.
  21. You need the whole subframe with diff and driveshafts and hubs etc. Also rear part of the NA prop. i have the complete works for sale. £200. Ill even do it with the newly shotblasted and painted subframe.. you use your existing discs and calipers. everything else included in the deal. Benefits... No more hicas.... better acceleration. Theoretical downside.. reduced top speed! I say theoretical cos nowhere can you use top TT speed anyway in Britain(legally). I managed 136mph in my NA at Bruntingthorpe and that was fast enough. Another theoretical downside might be slightly reduced fuel consumption?
