  1. Not for me that. Badges should be OEM or absent in my opinion.
  2. Those seats are lovely.
  3. Onwards and upwards mate. Just make sure you cut out all the rot.
  4. On the bright side at least you won't be getting anymore emails from the latest owners about the damn thing lol. Hope everything well mate, still got the merc?
  5. You effectively built a condensation trap. That's actually how you'd get drinking water out of damp air in a survival situation lol
  6. You got a long road there sadly. Good luck though. Nature of the beast really, old cars, a humid country and rust.
  7. Some play is normal with journal bearing turbos mate. They rely on the oil to create a floating effect, effectively hydrostatic pressure.
  8. Be interesting to see what the full extent of the damage is, turbos gotta come out for that. Be very careful about the oil feed. Could be the bearings failed/worn due to oil starvation and the shaft play that's resulted is the cause of the impeller damage. Obviously if your not 100% that enough oil is being presented, in the correct way of corse, you could end up killing the new turbos. Careful investigation and progression required. I spect you've already thought about this though, your not a dummy.
  9. I will have to check my diary when I'm back but that might make it an option for me too.
  10. Stop it, paint it properly lol. Looks like a Capri to the right.
  11. Your going to fix the problem that causing it though right? Because that's obviously a bodge. Even fully decatted a Z32 should pass UK smog unless something's broken. Mine always has...
  12. Is that an off the shelf or custom piece? - - - Updated - - - Looks like they will be tight on the rails...?
  13. Your car is running correctly? No boost leaks Correct timing Correct tps and base idle settings The car was tested as a z32 not a 350z or something silly.
  14. It's local to me. I've seen it twice, once on a flat bed on the way back from paint and once at Japfest. It's reportedly about 700hp.
  15. Have a look at SpecalityZ Dan and pop them a mail explaining what your after.
  16. Wary yes. But you can really be quite selective. Speaking to them as I've done, you can select things like fuel octane etc.
  17. As far as I'm aware Noel is still trading, but he appears to have moved away from the club. You can buy generic chips from specialityZ. If that's the name that's pops up maybe it's best to speak to him.
  18. At the very least you will need a chip to suit the injectors, without that I wouldn't even start it up. Ideally the car needs a base map then finishing off once it's bed in.
  19. The spec between the two is as such that it makes not a jot of difference. Unless some weird law pops up that imports are not able to be classics or some crazy nonsense (less likely, now were supposedly leaving the lunatics on the other side of the channel) the values will as now continue to be based around condition rather than market origin.
  20. Way over priced imo. Whilst it looks ok, that rot is a labour intensive job, it certainly needs a damn good service as well by the sounds of it. If you were paying for labour for the bodywork and engine work the purchase price of that is gone. If you were seriously looking if be tucking another grand or two aside and keep looking for a much cleaner car. Few years back that car would be for breaking and you'd be lucky to get £1k let alone 3.
  21. Can't say 100% but yeah that looks like the one.
