Front lower arms.
Am I making this up or did certain later cars have improved lower front arms that had lattice work on the underside?

What did you do to your zed today?
Except when you've had the battery off 800 times the wear down and aren't quite snug anymore, mind did the same.

Project Dittohead Red
This morning I was up and in London for breakfast time so I arrived back to a very sunny afternoon and took the opportunity to use the Builthamber stuff. At £20 a can (tax and post accounted for) it's not cheap. However I had a few questions about the product and I have to say the response from Mr Hamber himself was prompt and informative. I was impressed with the swift delivery and the fact it comes with an accompanying sheet all about the product. So onto the product, a 750ml can was enough to do both front rails, rad support member and front subframe, so I recon to do all your cavities you'd need about 6 cans, they do do a liquid for compression application. Looking down the rails it spread well and dribbled out here and there so I think it's safe to say cover and penetration. Highly recommend and il be using more for all the remaining cavities. Anyone got drawing that shows them?

Re-Installing Hicas Rear Steering Ram/Cylinder help
How many people still have HICAS and how many have fully functioning HICAS are two different things.

Where can I get a new prop shaft centre bearing?
Is Simon paying for it or something? :lol

Where can I get a new prop shaft centre bearing?
Si is right, if you get a second hand one you know what will happen and OEM ones are pretty darn expensive. One piece is the way to go.

Crazy idea
Plus custom intercooler piping, cooler and map to suit. And you would be lucky to break 300hp I bet. Meanwhile the stock TT is that there on the shelf to make 350+hp for a mbc and a chip, more or less. Fun experiment but not cheap.

Crazy idea
I guarantee it will. However if the TT has some parts on it and he breaks it and makes one car it could soften the blow, big project though if you don't have the experience.

New forest warning
Been a bit of a hot topic in local news about Pony deaths, people hit them and they are bloody expensive to deal with afterwards so they tend to flee, bit short on CCTV round here. As we hold quite a big show (Simply Japanese) in the forest I thought it may pay to show why every year I warn you all about driving carefully through the forest. Today alone a few miles up the road from my house (not in the forest) I had to come to hault because about 30 riders and 50 hounds took over the public highway on a early season hunt. Perfectly polite but if you came round the corner to that lot in the middle of the road we'll, you can guess. Then there was a Fallow Deer carcass on top a 7 foot high hedge row, guessing it was hit by a lorry. Countryside A roads are full of dangerous factors. So to get back to the point directly Then this popped up in the local news, the video isn't for those of a delicate position; http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/15093177.New_Forest_pony_dies_after_running_into_side_of_car__warning__contains_distressing_footage_/#comments-anchor Just a word of warning to those, particularly those who don't spend time outside of cities of the dangers you may find. Sorry to be all grown up and boring but please do be careful.

Yellow rubberised underseal under paint wheel arches
Indeed. To confuse things Hammerites range of anti rust stuff such as "underbody seal" contains Waxoyl. Hence where the confusion arrives. Waxoyl tends to be used as a brand name but it's not.

Unbelievable !!! Zed parts
It's from a breakers yard, I'm guessing some one told him NA diffs are worth money but he's unaware that the rest of it is required as it's diff only. But yeah that kinda can't actually sell.

Yellow rubberised underseal under paint wheel arches
There's definitely better available these days but as Si says applied properly it's not a bad product. The pros for it are it's available off the shelf and reasonably priced and works. Con, it's not as technically advanced as others. Anything that prevents moisture and oxygen getting at the metal is better than nothing or damaged 25+ year old stuff. Builthamber and Dintrol are highly rated but mail order only and not cheap. I've chosen to use Builthamber but I've used Waxoyl stone chip in the past. Actually I have the disgusting Waxoyl tar like stuff on top the stone guard behind my subframe four triple protection.

Project Dittohead Red
Well it's raining today so no after work car fun. I did however recieve my successful charity application for a local Half Marathon, which will be my first with a view to do a full next year. It seemed like good idea at the time...

Yellow rubberised underseal under paint wheel arches
That will be the factory under seal. Plenty of alternatives available. You can by Wayoxl stone chip which can be sprayed on that's pretty good, not to be confused with normal Waxoyl which is like a tar that never really dries.

need advice about turbos
The wastegate side looks tiny. I wouldn't run them personally, some people have had success with Chinese turbos but considering the headache changing a turbo on these cars it's a big risk. Why not get some t25/28 hybrids made up, genuine Garrett parts and not too expensive.

What did you do to your zed today?
I purchased some caps that go over the battery terminals for this very reason, my negative was a right pain and could work loose.

Cheers Russ, people say it's life changing. I've come to the conclusion it's simply more of the same, there's never been enough hours in the day and I'm always tired. Now there's less time and I'm more tired. I've just purchased some Builthamber Dynax S50, that will do nicely for the chassis rails and front cross member. Be interesting to see how far a can goes really. I also picked up some Gunk to clean a portion of the under side I didn't under seal last winter and apply new Shultz. Back bumper off next. Assembly wise the radiator etc is back in and only the front bumper is missing from the front. Still got to sort out the intercooler ducts and splitter. Although I may end up with a 99 front end, we shall see. I've gotta save for a new kitchen and a new bumper won't make the car any faster/better, just looks nice.
