  8. After some serious beginning teething troubles, my car went for a short stint with zed world. Now its back its a totally different car. I just dont want to get out of it. Its a red LWB TT auto 1990 jap import. modifications so far. aftermarket air filter, freeflow exhaust system, uprated oil cooler, autobox cooler rad bypassed from rad and external one fitted, standard jspec wheels sprayed graphite black, stillen front nose cone, new silicone boost pipes. From what I understand the engine and turbos are now is fairly good nick, apart from a slight oil leak from the rocker cover. Ive currently got a set of clear side repeaters coming and a set of rear lights to convert to 99 spec look a like. Supposedly im being given some coilovers as well but il belive that when I see them. So the question is whats next? what should I veiw to put on the to do list service items upgrades etc. Just wanna put a plan of action togther with the important stuff first.
  9. ultimateray i see your back on the road!
  10. both are beautifull cars, i wanted a lwb tho because i want to carry passengers. My last car had no rear seats and it was very annoying, also makes distance jounerys with friends cheaper. I brough azed because i wanted something that looked great pulled like atrain and i could stick four people in and chunter across the country. well i dont do much long distance driving but its nice to be able to pick teh missus up with her crap and her mates, without leaving them stood there in the cold.
  11. dan what part of the deep south are you residing in?
  12. theres about 5/6 in dorset area everytime i think ive spotted them all another pops up
  13. did it have a green a 300zx logo in teh centre tail panel?
  14. i can get over 25mpg outta my auto tt just cruising down the dual carriage way. it going round town that a killer.i drive mine at teh weekends mostly ussualy end up putting 30 quid in every other weekend or so. i went to cornwall from dprset last summer there and back was 100 bucks but i wasnt shy on the loud pedal at all.
  15. also what did you do with powersteering and fuse box gubbings? like that look very much
  16. love it looks very serious indeed. ive heard some bad press about those air filters getting wet and not drying causing issues with the maf tho. just worth noting
  17. the real joke is the price
  18. spare set of hands here if needed, dont know much but happy to do as told and learn :D
  19. what percentage of people that own zeds are on these forums? because there are constantly cars coming up for sale that are unknown to people. if it wasnt for this site id still be confused where the spark plugs where hiding. i saw a ratty blue na about two days ago pretty sure i know of most zed owners in the area now that are on here. so im stunned to find these cars and i wonder who works on them and how they keep running
  20. can you disconnect the maf and have it running, i know this worked as a good diagnostic when my old daily hack did it. connect maf and you could drive to 2500rpm then bang like sum 1 had hit the brakes. disconnect it revved quite happily.
  21. ah sorry i misunderstood. thought, there was a gearing to it. then the gearing disengaged or changed once it was upto a speed.
  22. i dont belive it does my understanding of the viscouse fan is it designed to pull air more than if it was just stuck to the block spinning at the same rpm of the engine. hence the clutch part of it. i think they spin faster than engine rpm at idle then slow off to engine rpm when it starts to rev but it shouldnt ever stop if the engine is running.
  23. yeh i must confess its your front end that makes me want a splitter lol. finishes the front end off very nicely
  24. i had one on my capri feeding my webbers was quite a simple little thing witha built in feul filter, you can even buy ones with gauges built into them i think. would tidy the plenum up. buy realistically there is no advantae to it is there? if you can get aknown working replacemnet for a few months or whatever till you can afford to buy an oem replacement its gotta be a better and simpler option.
