  1. sorry to litter your post does that come in a rattle can or do you need a paint gun/compressor?
  2. ive heard rumours that thinking about fitting the "tub" is considered madness you will regret, as it has another fitting name the "pond", due to its abilty to collect and hold rainwater, like a GI in a desert on survival exercise.
  3. as for the window frims they seem to slide out i unclipped mine fidlling tehn regretted it faffing about for 10 minutes putting it back in. but im very tempted to pull them all off and coat them is black paint
  4. cheers, where did you purchase it ive been told before that halfaurds paint is oftena bad match
  5. my cars ona private plate it means nothing to me and ity quite happily have it gone it doesnt obviously say anything just makes teh car look older than it is its an a plate. saw one the other day on my travels B16 KOB throught it was fairly amusing on the front of a jeep. a guy locally has an aston with the plate fa51 car or summin tbh i think that is tacky esp on a sleek car like that
  6. is your car stnadrad ie orginal z red ? wanna spray upa small piece down at teh bottom of the front bumper just wondering about colour match
  7. replacement scuttle panels available brand new from zcentre. not overly cheap mind you and are infact a graphite colour
  8. from what i understand from reading into it.... jspec cars should be run on higher octane as their feul is a higher rating as standard. ukspec cars are ok to run on normal unleaded if un modified as they were designed to be run on it. something to do with spark plugs i think. que an expert
  9. see what you mean jimmer. interesting little twist there.
  10. ive been using normal unleaded for the last well year i spose. probally about 2.5k miles. just read through some old posts explaining dont ever do it its bad for your engine due to pinking! ooops! it drove so much better when i threw some superunleaded in today. i wonder hopw many others have been doing this not knowing
  11. doesnt this sometimes happen with faulty pcv valves?? or am i wrong? was it coming from the actual exhaust exits or from under the car?
  12. thats one of those kaminari spoilers isnt it?
  13. have you don the screwdriver test and ohmed the injector? not sure if your aware but injector removal is a pita becuse the plenum is in the way. if the injector is bad you will get the wrong ohmage. a quick listen with a screwdriver will often tell you if its working or not. place a long screwdriver on the injector top whilst the engine is tuirning over and listen through the body they should click and make teh same sort of clicking, as above the injector should be reading around 12-14ohms
  14. i had this exact problem opted for a different solution tho. just sliced it into teh existing loom as they were supplied with a little tail of wire and some orange bulbs
  15. check for, functioning coilpacks swap over etc plug is the injector clicking? if so ohm the injector from memory should be 12 to 14 ohms(check that ) stick teh maf in the airing cupboard overnight, its likly either a bad injector or spark or a bad connection to either process of elimination.
  16. sounds ok for me, where will you be hosting? i remeber you were discussing warminster?
  17. sounds like an air fuel ratio issue, im sure this wont be to bad :D
  18. i simply meant that you cant say its the ferrari part that did the work, as its about speed etc rather than handling or anything else the engine is the star not the shell its still a ferrari but ferrari cant take much credit if that makes sense
  19. i guess truth be told its not a ferrari is it. esp considering what its for the part of the car that gives it its outstanding function is not made by ferrari so therefore its an awesome gm v8 tt block with a ferrari wrapper on it. be interesting to know how much ferrari is left tbh. awesome looking piece of kit tho and a standing testiment to the beauty of v8
  20. 24ths a bit short notice for me, plus a saturday would be better as then i dont have to worry to much about the getting back.
  21. my old capri wasnt the fastest didnt handle well but jsut so many good memories and fun driving times
  22. christ what am i doing with my car i should buy one of these oh wait :D
  23. running rich? its basically exhaust gass desposits i believe
  24. why does my air con blow hot air only regaudless of the set temp? i have noticed before that the relay has been removed. but it still blows, it just blows hot air and i cant stop it gently realisng this warm air into the cabin. only starts after a good drive or leadfooting. wouldnt be a problem but now winters here and it rains alot i hav eto whack up teh window and it gets rather toasty.
