  5. i always thought he was a gaymen lol. my mrs tells me he doesnt know what he is on about because he is an ex fatty himself and he is skinny people predudice. and then something to do with him being a chubby lover. that swhat i think she was on about anyways.
  6. stock gauge is pretty inaccurate, mine sits around the same at idle i belive only going all the way left on the over run. had the same issue as yourself when i had some big boost leaks tho. if in doubt of boost leaks do a test and tighten all the clamps. doesnt take all day and its a maintaince thing in any case. do a search on boost leaks lots of usefull info available on here.
  7. i left my window down in teh summer, it set the alarum off all day while i was at work. till the battery was flat. no one said anything. and i actually talk to my neighbours, they know where i work have contact info etc but nothing nice eh.
  8. if you have the over drive off and tying to see what your getting this may part of the issue i think mine starts to sound noisey without the over drive on at like 80 90 ish. you say 50km feels fast. sure its not been converted already? i have kph clocks but it reads for example. 30kmph is 30mph
  9. 3 years ncb, 3 points 23 with a auto tt 1k a year about 80 quid a month not too bad, mods declared back boxes alloys etc
  10. tell hiom to get one now lol ive had a tt for 18 months now and im not 25 till september :D i pay around £80 a month which i can live with
  11. but if you had a dawes device on each side and they were inbalanced it would cause damage over time ?
  12. thats exatcly what i was was thinking hollings. realstically i think going for the ebc whilt more expensive is going to be safer and potentially cheaper in the long run method
  13. tough one ey, kill him he becomes a martor, let him live and he continues his punishment upon us. he wins what ever you do to him.
  14. wasnt meant to be insulting was just a joke. trying to bring some humour to the situation. moreover i was sugesting that that sort of punishment that many are discussing can encourage martadom. not good. anyways didnt mean to offend any body. i appologise.
  15. could the friction plate be glazed and slipping due to poor contact? clutch needed adujustment or pressure plate has had it. sounds like gearbox off job whatever
  16. justa littel scared of boost spikes, but i think the manual convesrion is higher on the list atm. think il probally feel more of a differnce changing to manual than upping boost?
  17. ah piffle i got my 50 mtere swimming badge and did that pjama swimming thing with the brick it will be fine
  18. i see the wight isle most days but ive never been there lol. odd seeings i could actually walk there on the lowest of low tides so i hear
  19. who has what? ive been doing some reading etc on the subject today and it seems plently of people have boost jets but plently of people dont reccomend them? so lets discuss. bang for buck or buck to prevent bang? say we would like to achive 12-14psi safely without bankrupting another highstreet bank and without destroying a perfectly good vg block, whats the sensible route
  20. i swear we used to have a pretty good answer for what to do with people like him.... i think it involved two big bits of woods and some nails, however that got done to another chap in history and no ones shut up about it for the last 2010 years :P
  21. hrm im thinking more and more about this beinga good idea, but as youve done groover id like to sorta build up acollection of parts to avoid a mass outlay. how much does the ferry cost to you? if you want an extra pair of hands id be happy to lend em so when i go down this route im familiar with it
  22. what do you need to know? im sure most of us have alot of that info stored in our heads lol, as a referance point tho when i looked into insurance the differences between turbo and non turbo werent massive, and the feul consumption side of thing is swings and round abouts. so i went tt
  23. turn out isnt looking great is it? :/ ive heard the weather is set to be yuk also.
  24. its a thought that keeps poping into my head, amougst the things i want to get done is an manual conversion. I think it will really give the car a funner edge and better driving experince. Im aware that zed world offer it as a service for a cost and taht is possibly an option, but whats the price difference doing it yourself? Ive done plently of clutch replacements so im not to bothered about the nuts and bolts of it. just the electrical side of it. im assuming i would need: manual gearbox manual gear selector flywheel uprated clutch(standard is crap?) clutch and brake pedal manual master cyldner? what else would i need and how much would should i expect to pay in parts? how much of a arsehole job is it? just getting my head round it to work out weather its a viable propostion and to then budjet for it. BTW my auto seems to be in pretty darn good health, hold and power buttons work etc its just i think havinga maual would stick me in my seat better and make it faster to 70
