  1. bigger sound system lol. what do you need that for in a zed? i barely ever use the cd player other than on the motorway. spend the money on some service items gotta be summin that needs doing? like that fan clutch?(not trying to be a d**k, mostly said in jest but half serious on service items)
  2. just wanted to say a quick thanks to zedworld and zcentre a few guys here for your helpfull suggestions recently. just taken my car for a drive no smoking, no leaking and good boosting :D touch wood. just gotta sort out that boost leak cheers
  3. that bottom z with the texas plate is very nice needs 99 spec rears tho :D and so do i! is importing them the only real way to get one?
  4. agreed hence the reason most modern cars have this set up, but unfortuntly i dont think people research properly as you say and it ends up pretty expensive, although saying that the new fan clutch from nissan is a rip
  5. seconded take a quick look, people have had some very poor results swapping over to eletric fan. if done right its very efficent but its big bucks to do properly.
  6. awesome i could do with one of these for fishing etc and towing my zed :D
  7. anyone going down to the veltam jap car meet? belive its near fleet?
  8. i have to agree, its nota supra so why try to make it look like one. :/ i like the standard one but ive got one of those persex rear pannels and dont wanna lose it.
  9. the subtle jag style vents look ok. there not overpowering or too intrusive. although it seems a shame to ruin the subtle lines on a zed bonnet with vents in it. nota fan of the huge budges and holes. too ricer, to civic. but each to there own hey. car.mad didnt you have running issues from a missing rubber at the back of the engine bay? couldnt this sorta venting cause the same issues with water getting in??
  10. anyone seen a kaminari rear spoiler in real life and any opinions on them? also where could i get one? im looking to put a spoiler on my zed as it didnt have one when i brought it. ive gota high level one in the garage that needs painting but ive kinda gone off it prefer the standardish look
  11. im arranging things mostly through the djcc website. not really sure of a set date yet, but keep your eyes open. you gonna be at eveltham this weekend?
  12. yeh did my oil change the other day, used about 3.1/4 litres as i ran some oil through first to flush it out i recon there was alittle left in there. seems crazy that a 3 litre v6 with oil coolers and turbo lines etc uses so little my capri used to used like twic ethe amount
  13. had a little look at mine this morning, to try and see what you were talking about and all i could see that matched your description was a piece of maybe 3/4" hose that runs from the turbo area, up towards the plenum and i could gain access through the gap on the right hand side of the master cylnder. sound about right? maybe take a photo for us to give you a better idea.
  14. you guys need to lay off sum one created taht with love and....... no no im not being serious! id rather drive a ford ka for the rest of my lidfe than that i swear its painted with poster paint and made from cardboard come to think of it i swaer i made that when i was in reception but i was makinga rocket ship that guy just stole it and put wheels on it
  15. can you not just replace with some non precut hose? maybe even just temporarily to get you running and check wether youve done further damage? as ck300z says about air locks, they can cause all sorts of problems and without jacking the front up etc i dont think you will get most of them out.
  16. same thing happened to me last year buddy. water pump seized. blew a head gasket and warped a head. new engine time. do a compression test, check the oil cap for smeg (and if you feel ok to fire her up, see if your blowing smoke from the pipes and have rough idle) you may have been lucky and just blown one of the little water lines in the engine way they make a hell of alotta steam and fuss. but tbh mate sounds bad think you will be paying zedworld a visit. DO NOT DEAL WITH NIPPON!in derby. sorry to hear of it
  17. right, just been under there and found out that the line that runs from the oil tree just gopes straight to the sump, so for some reason or another the oil cooler lines have been deleted. looks like all i need to do now is run the cooler lines throuigh the bay and hook up to the tree and the pan essentially extending the loop and plumbing in the cooler :D thank f~~k for that phew:sleep: and breath :D il do this during my oil change as teh shops are shut now and i need some fresh oil and the oil pipe for the extension. if anyone can clear my mind up on the whole is it def not a na block that would be great thank you everyone for your help and input
  18. thankyou very much lymon, gonna go jack it up now and check. hopfully its just been bypassed not missing. anyone got any ideas if its possible ive been given a non turbo block and they have bolted my twin turbo parts to it would that even run and how would i be able to tell without taking everything apart?
  19. dont buy a gasless there rubbish a gas one will give you a much better cleaner weld. dont be tempted by the cheap ones if you intending to get alot of use out of it.
  20. any ideas how i could tell the difference in the block? would it even work?
  21. yeh its the zcentre kit im using, im gonna use this ans my engine oil cooler. having spoken to a few people today im fairly sure its one of two options, that the previous owner didnt get round to finishing the swap of the coolers and sold the uprated engibne oil cooler on. or that the people that fitted my engine dint fit the sandwhich plate to the block for the oil cooler and have bypassed it or they have put a nion turbo engine in that doesnt have the oil cooler.
  22. soprted the placement cheers guys see my other post from today for what i discopvered next tho! grrr
  23. used to have this there is a slow leak on the pipe that feed the power steering once it was warm the light would go off i guess the heat expanded the rubber and stopped the leak i just top up about a shot once every month every other month but plan to replace sooner rather than later
  24. its a jap sec 1990 tt it seems to go from the box through the rad then through the oil cooler in the nose cone. i poped a hose off and it was full of autobox fluid. had a good look about couldnt see where the oil line would even come from. there a small pipe of hard pipe joing parts of pipe toghter so it looks like its been modified. seems that sum1 has used the engine oil cooler as the autobox cooler with the orginal jap style in rad on in series with it. i just dont see who would be stupid enough to do this, so i cant belive its really been done. where are the oil lines located to feed the oil cooler? at least then i can put things back as they should be.
  25. Ive been fittin an uprated oil cooler to my autobox the usual necessary. When I find that at some point some one has used the engine oil cooler as the box cooler and I have No engine oil cooler! I cant find where the original feed lines for the oil cooler even go. Please help.
