  4. partially yeh, i guess what i really need to know is which of the 4 oil lines are the two i need to hook up to the cooler and where do most peopkle mount it? doesnt seems to be anywhere sensible. (im thinking that bolting it to the undertray is a very stupid idea)
  5. just a quicky has anyone got a write up for instaling an oil cooler for the auto box. the common upgrade for jap autos. i just had a quick reccy and didnt find anything like what i was expectig to find

  8. if anyone is a member of DJCC you may have seen i posted up about a dorset based meet getting a few zeds of all ages toghter. i know there are a few of you guys in southampton aswel and obviously its not far, just gauging interest atm please let me know if you would be up for this or you already run one?
  9. any thoughts on the uk style number plate effceting the ciooling side of things?
  10. and i was worried about my water temp!
  11. hrm its a tough one since there isnt really a specific mounting place on my front bumper. i guess the real issue is that a proper sized plate covers part of the air inlet on the front no matter where you put as to that effect this has i dunno, but i do often think that it isnt to the benifit of the cars health esp since our cars run so warm in any event. i guess you could argue that as a point. but then as i said what effect does it really have? how are they mounted on the uk spec cars is there an actual mounting position?
  12. not keen on anything on that car apart from the front bumper which is ruined by all that chicken wire! ive just been informed that if our cars are an import example we can use a smaller plate with 2.5" letters and slightly different spacing, which would be road legal. anyone else ever heard of that? i really dislike the placement of my plate it just looks like an after thought.
  13. 23 1990 tt z32 1996 sprinter van(work van)
  14. ha slight backlash to mistreatment here. agreed tho zeds dont respond well to being piked round a car park. go buy a capri :D but glad it was nothing serious one to keep in mind for if summin simular happens during some spirted driving. (as they say)
  15. ah this makes alot of sense il have a play see what happens :D
  16. ive played about with nmy cruise controkl a few times and it doesnt seem to do very much? i press the buttona green light comes on press set and take my foot of it just starts to slow down? have i missed summin or is it just buggered?
  17. yeh, i guess that is tegh point then yeh it could possibly glue toghte but its nota "true" welded joint and has no proper strutural integrity
  18. well i got from dorset to newquay and back on just under 100 bobs worth last summer having said that it was a bit of a nissan honda play fight the whole way. i put 30 bucks in last weekend and ive done over a 100 miles and the lights not come on yet.
  19. they go in the following order, going from the engine to the nose panel rad,air con rad, oil cooler (with the oil cooler being a fraction of the size of the other two). if you have an auto, if its jspec the box cooler will most likley be hidden in the bottom of the engine rad and if its a uk spec its its own cooler upfront.
  20. maybe gremlins are worth an extra bhp each?
  21. so im guessing that after a nice new free flowing exhaust has been fitted and that restrictor is gone and a little tune up session, timing, feuling etc have been done we should be looking at much more like the 300 bhp most of us thought are standard cars were. im often a bit confused by mine, one day it seems hell fast and nothing can catch me the next day i feel like my old 1.2 daily driver was quicker lol. (touchy bitch)
  22. sorry weld ali to steel? i was always told this is impossible as the two have competely differnt properties and dont mix because they melt at different temps etc. you just get alot of splatter and two seperate metals witha burn hole in the ali. sorry if ive got the wrong end of the stick or am incorrect but er just thought id mention it.
  23. god a dread to think what gremlins live in that car!
  24. sum one probally couldnt afford to repair engine or turbos so burnt it for the insurance :/
  25. well it doesnt read like abullshit add if you get me? guess you gotta go look to see 100%
