  1. you will have to forfill a minium air volume to be moved for effective cooling. in reality its generally excepted that keeping the viscous fan is the more effective way forward.
  2. japspeed may still be doing theres at the lower price can but ask.
  3. yeh feul hoses on the plenum, as said. or the fpr. can perish, however leaky hoses tend to crop up in winter.....
  4. there where z31s produced with this from factory....apprantly.... but yeh as said anything is possible.
  5. they are generally foirmed the same as teh side mounts its just they are welded together in one unit. check out czp and zed1 for some ideas.
  6. pretty sure this is out of date again, bob has hit over 660 bhp now and martin is on aroung 700? with plently more to give, and i believe silver bullet is also hitting over the 500 mark now. correct me if im wrong guys
  7. agreed i think you will suffer there with the air flow to your intercoolers, not for me im afraid. if you converted to a fmic then thats the only way to do it properly i think.
  8. have a look at the side mount intercoolers from zed1 that where recently discussed on here arc i think where the brand, they where around £400. less than half the price of its copetitors and good quality. if you go for a fmic the cheap ones are very much that and offer little gain on stock, im sure jimmer reveiwed these. also bear in mind that the thing is in the way of your radiator and induction, causing those in turn to recieve less cool air. nissan designed these cars with smic's for a reason. i know its not ideal but if your on a budjet mate it may pay dividens to put the zed aside over winter do what needs to be done over tghe corse of winter save some cash and spread the outlay. you wont wanna drive it much come january febuary. driving a zed in shite weather isnt fun. poor headlights wide tires and slippery salty yuck potholey roads dont agree with our pedigree mistresses. (as i side note im sure you alreday know, its just the way its written. there is no point in the ebc without the chip, the chip is required to enrich the feul map when increasing boost, failure to match the feul curve with the boost will result in running lean, and that in turn will melt pistons etc, but im sure you know that already, just thought id say just incase.)
  9. probally be a good route to upgrade them if your engine will cope, easier tyo do them now while your there then later and have to take it all apart again.
  10. im 24 nearly 25 few weeks away. 3 point 3 years no claims one small bump 5 years ago due to come off at xmas and im paying 800 fully comp with teh abilty to drive other cars(i need this cos i borrow my mrs car etc, or we share long jounerys. shes only 20 so adding me to her policy just whacks it up even more.) that was with adrain flux, im paying pretty much teh same as i was paying 2 years ago when i brought the damn thing even with the added no claims...... few years mate we will get half decent insurance they just hate us youngens or love what ever way you look at it.
  11. replacement box cant be too expensive. esp if you can raid one of an N/A. just swap it out for a better working one till you get round to refurb yours, if you do decide to
  12. 'its a show car its supposed to be different and grabbing' as they say. but er nah its gross and completly impractical.

  17. so what stops us from using the na flywheel etc with an uprated clutch to lighten the flywheel load im sure there was some kind of logic behind this.
  18. oh i didnt relise this i thought it was a large chunk. what is the purpose of the of the lump?
  19. would it not be easier / better to swap in a tt bellhousing to the na box, getting a bellhousing from a shagged box wouldnt be too hard.
