Thats exactly what mine was doing, before I replaced the actuator, im not sure how easy it is to jimmy a zed but essentially using a coat.hanger to locate the rod that connects the lock to the actuator. Its just to the right of the key lock. Best of luck. I know one or two people on here have an do know how to do this so hopefully they will pm you. I suspect that the connecting rod has come off anat one end.

This happened to me when I recently changed the actuator assebly itwas the inner pin fell off connecting the the lick and acuator I flicked it manually and it unlocked. Dortunatly I still had the door card off. You should be able to jimmy the lock

It used to be in the highway code to allow thrm to pull out but you cant do that half way through overtaking them! I thinks its been dropped now, theres certaintly no more signs on the back like there used yo be. The buses are crap anyways we have bus lanes empty in rush hour and no bus and we have3 buses in the same stop stopping every 10b metres, there really isnt a need for so many buses and so many stops grrrrr

Is it me or are bus drivers getting worse, the amount of times they have tried to pull out when iim half way down it. I actually saw one do this the other day to a slow moving ie 5mph or less old lady unfortuntly he hit her and pushed her a good 10 feet along the road before stopping!

I looked into it and came across mixed veiws, it does increase the acceleration, lower top end and make the car feel more responsive. Hower real world dictates use of very grippy rubber to make full use of it offf the line, first and 2nd are a hail of sp ok n with anythinv but a near stock engine. Its quite popular in the states because of the amount of nad out there converted. I put up a thread over there and was pretty muvh talked out ou gh of I th as I want ws d the car to retain some sort of managability basicaly I didnt see it as worth the effort or cash, others may wel disagree and I may even talk myself back into the idea. Also swmbo said no lol.

i suppose so, as you can use the na box, you would have to alter the bellhousing take a chunk out and space the starter to mesh up with the fly wheel.

rightttt lol cheers gaz, i didnt see this in time due to the issues with the forum last night, fortunatly the new one turned up at work today and i sat there with a cuppa and pushed teh levers till i figured out how the thing worked, took it home and put it together lol. for future referance though if anyoen else gets themself in a tiz, there coloured for a reason :) the green two relate to the interior handle, you will quickly see which goes where. the blue one goes to the exterior door handle and the remaining white one connects upto the key barrel. the brass coloured bar near it, if you undo the bolt the whole process is 100xs easier :)

Yup that bolt has a offset centre so turning it pulls or pushes the wheel firther closer etc adjusting the camber, I think the reason peole opt for ajustable ones as an aftermarket is the stock one wont go far enough. Thr ffronts are preset, but the toe arm bush wears causing excess neg.

i finally decided to pull the door card off and inspect why my door has been unlocking on the central locking but not locking. the answer turned out to be what i thought itt would be a worn accutator or on its way out anyways, unlocking it was snap and sharp but on the locking it was slow and didnt fully engage the lock. so jeff will be getting a call tomorrow so i cabn replace it asap, however, in the process of fighting the bugger out what a faff seriously, ive forgotten how all the little joining rods came apart ive done some but still have two floating around that i cant rember what they were for. i cant manually lock the door now (no biggy the car is in my garage)so i assume that one sof the detached ones. and the other is the upper long one of the two that sit on the outside of the door. so can anyone point me in the right direction of a diagram or picture of how the hell they are put together? cheers in advance.

I think even a stock zed will beat that beamer, if it was an m6 then thats different but its not. At some point you will be sat there and some young scot will have you from the lights and ul be sat there saying if only I still had the zed. In my experience is better to finish a project then always wonder what if lifes too short. There is the final option of do both and put the zed on the back burner till you can afford to finish it

Can order tbem from the states? Or opt for crystals which are half the price

thats exactly what i do with mine just jam it in 2nd and boot my christ doesnt it move a dirt load quicker. in full over drive normal mode is bloody annoying i hate the way it almost hits the limiter when you plant it before changing down. seems brutal! manual conversion is coming very very soon :D parts are all here.

is it coming from the box or the engine? lower rocker cover gasket leaks are very common. if its the box should pretty darn easy as its directly there when you are under the car. trans fluid is pink

You have jimmer in bristol, thats about the closest. Ive tried locally and bad results. Whats up in any event?
