  1. dunno which 200sx they where off but they were definatly too short.
  2. unfortunatly they arnt the same, i think it was an s13 i looked at. maybe s14s are different i dont know however, the one i tried was too short, the pinion was the correct size the thread was correct it was just too small via about 2 inches in length.
  3. what coilovers have you got? some are harsher than others. and what ride height you running? maybe it just needs setting up better softer settings may transform the cr to a more comfortable ride.
  4. ive always liked the stagea real wolf in sheeps clothing.
  5. yeah thats what i seemed to work out from it, that the arm or tie rod itself varied according to the car which makles sense but nissan had used the same tie rod ends. il take the old one in with me to compare, only way to know i suppose.
  6. they look the same and are half the price? and available off the shelf. im gonna try and compare them upclose to check but atm it looks like they are the same, which also makes them the same as a huge long list of nissans.
  7. sounds like a sensor error. time for an aftermarket as steams says.
  8. safety boost is 7psi roughly stock boost is 9psi roughly many will run 12 psi stock running 14psi on a stock engine requires a chipped ecu. you could run a max of 16 psi on stock injectors and a chipped ecu, stock tubs and injectors prevent you going beyond 370 bhp. thats those "facts" as they are generally accepted. where the rest of it came from i dunno, but yeah running 10psi is marginally over stock.
  9. seperated the tie rod end off the steering arm in the end (cheers gaz) unfortunatly the damn tie rod is bent on the thread, ive realised why now doh. but yeh so i need a new one! ands it bankholiday so no parts and the flying zed is grounded :(
  10. Tracking arm wont seperate tried that :( may have to do the universal method
  11. anyone else found this job to be a complete and utter pig! ive been fart arsing about with it for two hours. and got no where, having another crack at it tomorrow so if anyone has any usefull tips on how to do this please share them with me. cheers
  12. ive done them at 84 newton meters is that ok?
  13. Spot on that man, tench are very sly and they may have escaped your notice for a few seasons at an inch long. Now the weights going on youve noticed them
  14. Not available in the uk readily, some available in the states. Just type in 300zx roof spoiler.
  15. I rocled up in cornwall looking cool when I first got mine, ladies checking us out etc, just with that ****ing fan belt went squelly spent the rest of thevtrkip squeklling and wondering how to tighten it.
  16. You may see basking sharks in spring sumer on the southcoast quite clearly visable. Why not book yourself on a charter boat and get out there, great day out.
  17. Dont forget you may have some residual burn off for a while.
  18. Great to see, and that it is in black white that the fish swas returned unharmed and tagged for the future. Dont worry rich your not on the portbegals menu
  19. Pah I recon I could have them shiney enough within a minute with some autosol
  20. they could have cleaned teh exhaust but other than than yum
  21. fortunatly now ive turned 25 the zed is much much cheaper, but i was paying 2k a year for a 1.6 suzuki when i first passed absolute madness! and im still being quoted 500 odd quid for a 1.1 fiesta sdp only with 4 years no claims.
  22. i may cause a drop for 6 months butr nothing long lasting or worth its weight. same as all this black box and camera buisness within afew years they will be the normal prices much the same as tehy are now and those without will pay a premium for not having it rather than those who having making a saving. sorry to be a cinic but car insurance esp for the young is a simple riff off, use it you wont get it again and dont have it you will not get it again so your forced to pay out huge sums for a car tahts worth squat only to be legal, and then if something happens you still end up pulling moneyu out your pocket from massive excesses etc
  23. Whats up with then? Other than it has hicas lol
  24. bolting bigger tubs on a 20 year old block is probally going to prove false ecconomy. so you would ideally be looking at a rebuild before pushing through the 450 barrier etc. you may well get a good gain with biogger injectors and intercoolers allowing you to run higher boost safely without risk of det. however you are going to be running damn close to the usefull part of the turbo, ie it will be running outta puff. you could hit 400 on bigger injectotrs etc 370 odd would be the limit without doing further upgrades to the supporting system.
  25. we should have a little met this bankholiday weekend bud get a few of us together. even better to decide whats normal.
