  1. if its top end ie lifters an oil change and maybe some lifter treatment and a good run will do it the world of good. however if its bottom end (bear in mind that cylinder may have been running lean for a while, not good) its actually no where near as bad to pull the engine on these as it first looks. just time consuming.
  2. so it looks like ive got a series 3? engine. running in a series 1 car, the instalation of this engine was shockingly poor. zedworld did alot to get it back running properly, me and gaz have pulled it out to do the tubs recently. one of the manifoklds was missing two bolts and letting gasses pass, the egr wasnt connected to the vac system and the mount where it joins the manifold was history. this may explain why i couldnt find much from the engine code.
  3. i remember several weeks ago you saying "should i sell the tt?" so quite possibly no lol. but in any event good luck.
  4. the engine in my car is fairly unknown, while its out the little and alrge jobs are being done. took the belt cover off tonight, to find cams that looked a little funny. theres 3 other engines sat in the lock up and the cam pulleys didn't match them. with mine the inlet cams are solid, well too look at theres a second cover on the cam pulley face, bolted up from behind. confused. any explaination?
  5. I think you get like a bulk buy discount. You definatly get a non taxpayer discount.
  6. how did that happen I ment stretch :s
  7. the law is ridiculous punishes the normal people to the nth degree and lets the criminals and scum roll around laughing in its weakness. that is sadly modern life. people get less for stealing the car and going on a half hour police chase with the heli chopper up
  8. i may be up for this if im back together in time, good excuse to spread the legs.
  9. i believe japspeed sell the braces.
  10. i have to say i agree with jap slapper, the unmarked bike was antagonising him, and most of us would do the same. if not quite to the same extent. however does anyone else think that looking at his approach to the roundabout the speedo seemed a little fast. approaching that busy round about at 60 he didnt seem much quicker than everyone else.... just a thought.
  11. not to mention your inability to not not keep turning up the boost beyond the afr's safe useable band :P "just turn up the boost and rebuild it, when it blows up" hahaha
  12. now that is a usefull tip.
  13. Ah ok lol as I say didnt want to offend it was just a spooky number so ibthought id ask. Your going dremel method yeah? As above though.yeah its bummed.
  14. yup, yes it is. seem sto be happening more and more.
  15. i think he said hes on his 6th set of tubs lol.
  16. sounds like the fuse has gone yup.
  17. cars in the us are hitting over 200,000 and theres a few topping 300,000. stock tt blocks. nas rack up higher milage, but yeah a well looked after tt could last you wayyyyy longer than you need.
  18. yeah between 12 and 14 if you have got a reading of 120 firstly have you done it correctly? (no offense im just thinking about the decimals option on the multimeter) if yes its totally fubared. it will not be injecting fuel at that resistance and the cylinder will not fire. hence the problem... im about after 4 on saturday.
  19. Yeah, there responsible for svm's r35 time attack car "the 1200bhp hulk" several drift cars etc. theyre not the cheapest but granted they know there shit.
  20. On a serious note yhough this kept happening to my van, it was a neighbour. He simply didnt like me parking outside his house. We had an exchange I dont park there anymore. My van doesnt get vandalised.
  21. Probaly some hippie ******* who thinks your car is a polar bear killer.
  22. Possibly on saturday il check the calander.
  23. hoses from sfs hoses they are a trader on here. and the valves are available through mjp another sponser.
  24. you can buy the complete hose kit from sfs hoses in silicone for about £50 theres 5. and the valves are about a fiver brand new.
  25. cr turbos in new milton, they have a pretty good reputation. getting the block out etc i can help you with. nut make the pcvs are in good order first. if they have failed the back pressure from the crankcase will make it difficult for the tubs to release oil into the sump. so it will go the easier path out the rear seal.
