  4. DO NOT BUY ONE THEY ARE ****! my dad has one paid 10k for it a few years back tried to sell it last year before he emigrated, couldnt get 3k for it and its in great nick low miles fsh the works and its the proper 230 one. build quality is poor fuel consumption horrendous and handling is poor too. we did a rolling pull when i firsty got my zed from 50 and he literally went backwards. they flood at the drop of a hat and cause you a massive headache as he found out, basically if you start the engine you must run it till its warm if you drive 100 metres turn it off cold it wont start again because it will have flooded! they also suffer from vapours in teh crankcase which causes teh sump to rot from teh inside out. its currently sat on my back forecourt until he decides what to do! i started it up the other week, after it flooded twice on me because the battery wasnt fully charged! doh! basically it flooded becaus ethere wasnt enough umph to start it, so i cleaned the plugs and tried again it started but ran rough so i touched(literally touched) the accelerator and it flooded again! had to go through the whole process again. which involves cranking the engine over with the fuel fuse in, and if that doesnt work, involves pulling the plugs and burning off the fuel, btw the plugs are located behind the passengerside wheel behind the suspension components! badly designed car that is too heavy and underpowered to even drive like a sports car. theres a reason there worth nothing, seriously!
  5. Just support the block with a crane via the plenum, drop the ubframe its only d bolts then undo the whole mount, as mark says you will prob need the air con or alternator out to make life easier.
  6. Do it yourself. Honestly remove the fan shroud and the radiator and the fan, etc at the front will take you half hour then see how you feel.most of yhe confising stuff gets deleted anyway :)
  7. They make it look like some dodgy koren salon from behind. Yuk.
  8. i was reading somewhere that the original design spec of the vg utilised the cast iron characteristics of the stock manifold to disapate heat through the block and create a convection currect of heat transfer through the water coolant lines. also tublar ones are prone to cracking so theres two great reasons to only use cast manifolds on the tt.
  9. its ok im already shagging one of the bridesmaids, have been for nearly four years its how i got the job
  10. i think your right sod everyone else teh days about me :)
  11. seeings as this isnt actually a car club more of a gentlemens club, where we all convince ourselves were saine. i thought id ask the following of you all. :devil2: ive got a wedding like in two weeks.... i need to write a best man speech....trouble is i don't actually know the groom very well.....:pinch: but were here now. so anyway some tips hints useful resources would be great.
  12. dicky, i hear your a bit of an led wizz, im currently contemplating on supplementing some of my aquarium lighting with led. your fairly new so probably don't know what i get upto, but anyways light colour spectrum and par readings are paramount for me, is that something you'd be able to discuss with me? i know the leds id need are cree xtes in royal blue 10k white and 20 blue, but i dont really understand all the driver business.
  13. awesome i was thinking just the other day that the stock reversing lights are about as bright as forrest gump.
  14. I think ive got 3 lying about il check first as one has hellraiser written on it I would think. If ive still got them if you cover post ots yours :)
  15. I looked at these glad I didnt bother now. Get yourself a refund.
  16. Ecu stays, you just have to do a small amount of wiring to trick the car into starting, disabling the starter rely that stops you starting in gear on tbr auto. Its the easy bit. And the neutral switch.
  17. Mine was awful without servo assist, ruined the car. Its rayed at 500ftlb iirc, hooked the vac up.soooo much better. Gaz has some twin plate plate thingof a simular spec we will be fitting to his which is supposed to be lighter than stock. What I meant earlier if it was confusing is use the tt flywheel and vlutch and il be fine. The na one is smaller hence the problem if your going the other eay or intend to try and ise the na flywheel.
  18. The bellhousing fitment is the same but the starter is different the na has a lump and this must be filed and the started spaced to realigbn with the flywheel. So ideally you should swap the bellhousings over because I supposed you cant shim it in. however you could I guess use a tt flywheel and clutch with the na engine and tt box. Not sure. As I say really you need a tt bell housing to make life easier. Why cant you go tt
  19. obviously they locate in the position of the stock recircs, but which line do they pop into and which line is bunged? ta.
  20. not really no lol :s because if im not mistaken an rb for example is still twin turbos and those two down pipes branch into a single 3" exhaust. where as a vg that down pipe pops into a 2.5" exhaust, on either side. so each turbo has its own 2.5" exhaust section rather than 2 turbos being forced down one 3" section. maybe im confused. unless you've got fat tubs I wouldn't think youd need 3" either side to efficiently remove the output, and I cant see why in terms of output a single 3" would be better than a pair of 2.5"ones.
  21. just a thought but most of the skyline, supra all that lot are almost exclusively single exit. so actually in terms of volume and resistance its like them running a 5" system is it not?
  22. I have family round the corner in broadmayne.
  23. well stop lurking and get involved theres plenty of us around this area.
  24. Another hants z welcome on board.
