  1. Dont forget wd isnt a grease and long term regreasimg or a new bearing would be better.
  2. Just check its supplying charge to the battery aswe mate.but yeah its all soundoing positive.
  3. Sounds like a dry bearing, is the alternator ok?
  4. The solenoid is located on the drivers side of the engine bay next to the master cylinder and small fuse box, this connects to the balance bar via some vac line, possibly via some rats nest vacuum lines. Just check those connections first.
  5. doesnt it have a one way valve inside so oil stays in the line better
  6. Didnt see this till after your text but obviously anything I can do to help youve got my number.
  7. I think it was 2.75 litres get 3 litres and you should have enough.
  8. Easy theres a bottom drain plug and a side on ed to fill just jack it up and crack them open.
  9. i was going to sujest ebay.. but if theres none theres none. how sthe engine dave?
  10. do a compression test to see if the cylinder is holding taht will elimate rings valve seating damage to the bore etc if it passes, unfortunatly i think the only way you will know is to pop off the head and inspect properly. you could use a borescope to spot anything obvious. although there cant be a compelte loss of compression or the cyldnder would still be inactive. tbh if yoiur going to be replace bearing or rods changing a valve isnt a mucgh bigger job in all fairness.
  11. if fragments of teh plug ended up in the combustion chamber you will have caused some problems no doubt, but speaking from experince running on 5 cylinders teh car feels like a bag of shite, more revs required for pulling away driving everything. if with anew plug teh engine purs like a kitten and passes compression testing youve probally been very lucky. obviously those were private roads you were drifting on aswel i take it.
  12. thankyou very much for the kind offer.
  13. Nice find bri, all those extras and the stingey sod wouldnt pay out for rear seats lol
  14. Cheers guys I wont be buying anything this side of xmas apart from a pair of something gaz has :)
  15. Now that doesnt suprise me at all. :)
  16. Nah pete the little demons just keep going, I knew a girl who drove hers 20 miles a day to work and back on 3 cyl for 6 months before it conked out. Fresh plugs and off iy went again another few months before it finally died.
  17. Too true pete, we need to start taking a page out of the ford boys book and start making repro parts. We also need to think smarter, nissan are very unlikley to have produced every last compnent of the z32 from scratch simply due to finances and why build a new injector connector when the one for you current hatch model is suitable. I bet theres far more multi car components than we know. I recently gota reverse swith fromeuroc ar parts for 18 quid off a navara one for the zed was around 80 same damn part.
  18. as above really mostly seems to be in the usa for new ones any good cheap uk based sellers? and while were at it what about the coil pack connectors?
  19. Be a very short shorty lol theyre only 8" shorter lol
  20. Yup thats the sorta thing I want to do, I just need to know tge cable layout.
  21. one of the turbo drain lines would be a nice place to neatly put a catch tank return aswel
  22. its been bothering me for awhile now that the fog light on the rear of my zed is simply the rear lamps.... nothing seperate or bright or anything usefull. however there is no splice in the boot taht i can spot so where would they have teed into this to do it? i want to put an additional proper fog light in the rear. not a gash box hanging but some subte and super bright led. but where do i stat looking for this eletrical mystery?
