  2. Im still considering this, junes a long way away in termd of my car and how it goes, and santa pods a long drive from bournemouth to blow an engine.
  3. trouble is mark everyone will think you've got chlamydia, for two reasons. Firstly your advertising this fact wearing a STI label, and secondly you will be also be joining the chavs. There quick enough and handle well, theyre also sorta practical with the 4wd etc, but honestly if I had one it would have a few dents and be filthy as I would use it as a proper hack, imo there pig ugly and pikey as.
  4. Just had a look on the map, is this place near cheltenham?
  5. The evo boys use them all the time, apprantly they go a bit brittle after 12 months and need replacing but at the price nm.
  6. your flying from the Wirral? don't be silly bloody drive, then you wont hav eto hire a car and you can go anywhere, the drive down through cornwall through bodmin etc is the best bit!
  7. The sensors are pretty generic and cheap in all fairness.
  8. silverline is looking at producing them, they do make a bit of difference but they arnt a substitute too better brakes, the benefits are mostly cosmetic in most peoples opinion. a set of claipers from a r33 with the 350 discs would be far better.
  9. theres two on there a injector style brown one, which is the ecu temp sensor and a black spade connector that is for the dash gauge.
  10. Its the water temp sensor for the gauge is it not?
  11. have a good read about, certainty in the states they will run 500 bhp on stock intercoolers, I think the problem comes when your doing multiple boosts, still it isn't going to hurt is it. It should reduce charge temps and be safer to run more power. I think its probably wise but not fully essential.
  12. Sorry to see this, how did the sealant get to the turbos? the pickup has a gauze on it does it not? that should stop any large items from being taken through the oil circulation system. Unless the oil tree or something post oil pickup has had sealant put on it? bit confusing that. I suppose the failed bearing caused excessive shaft play which was the cause of the impellor damage? When I did mine, we popped the fuel fuse and primed the engine until oil could be seen in the head through the filler cap, then twice more for good luck, would you say that's satisfactory?
  13. Your not going to get any better at it by not pushing yourself. You just have to accept if it goes wrong theres no one to fall back on but yourself.
  14. Just wants some side skirts that now.
  15. Sensor or gauge fault is my guess.
  16. I spoke to someone about this a few days back he used to be an active member on here bit not anymore. and yes it is local.
  17. Jack the front up and check for play, sounds like somethings loose, wherls steering arm etc. it would need to be a friggin rock to make the steering shake. All depends on how pronouced it is, you should still have a good inspect just in case.
  18. I comment on most things... But I am a bit special, and definatly still a fledgling zed mech.
  19. Worth a punt bud, if you could bring them along on the rr day that would be awesome. Just dont trust these non oems. Do you need monies for that yet?
  20. Just do a tt swap, find a rust uk tt with a solid engine and tubs and start your winter project :)
