Those vapour trails are from impurities, nothing to owrry about too much really for what your doing. it also look like your holding the torch at 90 degrees to the surface your welding, angle it over to 45 and you will find it easier to see what your doing and the gas will cover the weld better. definite improvements though.

Cant you just disable the aircon on a temporary basis?

If you speak to a lot of the us guys they are making good numbers on stock turbo 2.5" inter cooler pipes and 3" exhaust system, that combination makes a real difference with the appropriate tune of corse

Gonna take more than 6 hours to pull and refit a 20 year old vg30dett. If their undoing original bolts and don't have z32 specific experience 20 hours is easily amassed.
