I'm not going to say defiantly yes, because next year the house will be a time and focus pig aswel as money pit. However I think it sounds great and if I can I very we'll may.
  2. Get it running perfect first. If you go down the power route before maintaince you will likely get egg on your face.
  3. Yup get it going, start a thread see who would be interested find out dates etc.
  4. Make sure you buy a well maintained and regularly serviced example. Check. Get it inspected by a proper specialist is your next step. Nissan main dealers have forgotten what the z32 is and how to work on it, as a general rule, is your next step. The main issue that breaks these cars is poor maintaince. The main fails are electrical connections in the engine bay, split/blocked coolant hoses and galleries and poor quality tunes. If looked after the bottom end is capable of holding around 500hp and lasting circa 300k miles at stock power levels. Turbos fail between 100 and 150k on average. It's an engine out to replace. The majority of bad press on these cars is provided by misinformation, rumours and badly maintained example. It's a proper modern classic, even with the auto box a very rewarding car to drive.
  5. Ryan suggested it gosh, bout a year back before he sold his. It's been playing in my mind since then really. When you brought it up it really got my brain buzzing lol. Yes though good idea rich.
  6. Would anyone be up for a cheddar run soon?
  7. When you going lol.
  8. And two breathalyser tests kits. You taking the zed?
  9. What annoys me very similarly is when the 4x4s expect you to mount the verge. Whilst they sit there in the flat road. I'm with you, if you can't get up the curb you can't. It's not legal to mount the curb and you shouldn't be expected to do it.
  10. No idea, maybe best to ask on an American forum. No one on here is likey to have done it as we drive on the correct side of the road, ie the same side as the japs. So there's no need to convert here.
  11. Hem I think more research on my part is required, I found some one with them on a skyline and 340 ish mm discs and ap calipers there was literally a fag paper clearance.
  12. Totally agree stella, its the mind set of the membership that's the issue, its all good organising things. however if they arn't the things people want they wont turn up and its time wasted.
  13. I get an allergic reaction within the m25 im afraid lol
  14. Well you cant bring a car to the table as a non owner but that's not overly the point, there are other things you can do, and obviously do do. What would you like to do? What would you like to do off forum within the scene? For example if we did do a treasure hunt you could still be a navigator for another member and be involved. I guess really I cant answer your question. You are heavily involved within the forum as a moderator etc which is positive, what I'm trying to encourage is more actual membership activity off forum so sort of a separate issue. The only way someone could be a thorn in my side is to say you must not do this, you cant have fun and people shouldn't turn up to any events. That's pretty unlikely I think, I hope.
  15. I'm not really sure how to interpret that or answer it if I'm honest.
  16. You still drive it about, which is a lot more than some. The important part is you use it and enjoy it, how you do that is irrelevant.
  17. In comparison to the large chunks of battle ship bolted to my car currently lol
  18. You are entitled to your opinion mate, if you want to be a loner carry on :P
  19. I was looking at using a set of R33 GTR alloys, for three main reasons. They look good and they are a cheap quality lightweight wheel. 17" tyres are cheaper esp as the rears will be narrower mine are 265/30/18r high quality and or road legal slicks are expensive in those sizes. Higher profile allowing a bit more bump allowance the 18s can be a bit harsh, also the higher profiles a bit more motorsport looking rather than mcdonalds. - - - Updated - - - That's what I was thinking, ive asked the same question over at the skyline club aswel as its those wheels I want and a lot of them have bigger brakes.
  20. I got used to it being auto, I then started enjoying it properly when it went manual.
  21. What is the maximum brake size that will fit under a 17" wheel? I know offset is also important but as a general rule, for example would a 345mm brembo conversion fit under a 17". The reason I ask this is im seriously considering chopping the 18's in for 17's function over form reasons.
