  1. I think a member here had them. I believe the offset is quite aggressive, they are a nice wheel though.
  2. I do tell a lie a little while back I made a trip to Bognor Regis and picked up a bonnet off Edd. That solved some of the cosmetic issues. Excuse the dirt;
  3. It’s been over six months since a spanner was turned on the Z. To be quite honest I have just lost interest. Time has been at a premium like never before and what little free time I’ve had I’ve really not wanted to spend it doing more stuff that’s similar to Work. Anyway today I can confirm two things; Firstly the car is safe (for now at least) looks like we are officially moving and the car will finally have a home. Unless things go wrong it’s not being sold. Secondly today I lifted the cover and....wait for it.... actually worked on it for a bit. The plan is to get it Road worthy again, it’s the best way to transfer it to it’s new home if nothing else. Today I fitted an expansion tank, I removed the stock one to allow the new intercoolers to breathe. This left a problem and my initial plan to fit a new one in the wing, quickly became obvious a no goer. After some umming and Arring, I found this little beauty, and it’s sat where the sitcom compressor wheel was on the chassis rail. It’s been in the shelf a few weeks but no that’s complete. Next up, I’d decided to make some modifications to the brake brackets for the rear. When I fitted the spacers this caused a discrepancy as the disc sat further home. The caliper was no longer central on the disc by 2mm. The brackets went a chap I know for some modifications. Brakes finally complete and torqued to spec a preliminary bleed was preformed with a one man kit I’ve got. Have to come back to this with a buddy and finish the bleed. With the increased offset on the wheels it’s a bit touch and go for clearance on the rear bumper tab so that’s had s hair cut today. My friend Stanley helped create some air flow from the intercoolers outlets. Nice big hole in the arch liner now. Left to do, Final bleed of Brakes. Fix the heater blower issue. MOT...
  4. Which considering it’s kept in a garage and only used on dry sunny days, therefore not an issue, really shows quite how anal you are... I’m guessing said victim wasn’t wearing his seatbelt?
  5. Apart from a bit of moderate rain, heavy rain and you’ll still get wet in 90% of them.
  6. Best to Tee before and provide it with its own non return. That way if the clutch servo fails you won’t loose the servo assistant for the Brakes. I actually went to the unnecessary but anal step of getting a Manual balance bar in the end.
  7. The NHS. When they are at their best they are incredible, I have the upmost respect for paramedics and the A&E guys/gals, sadly I have had too much content with them in recent years... when they are at thier worst, it’s virtually shocking. I won’t go into detail but it’s not all been great, or even close to acceptable.
  8. Estate agents and mortgage advisors.
  9. Have a wander round Halfords buddy, see what’s on offer. Any respectable 10-40 is fine.
  10. Firstly you can not compare a modern automatic coupled to a Deisel engine to a 25+ year old box design and a petrol engine. The BMW has a rev limit of what? 5.5k the Z more like 7.5. If you were at 2.5k you’d be nearly half way though the Deisels Rev range. The z32 TT has tall gears anyway, a number of a theoretical top speed on the Auto is something like 210mph, not that you’d get there. Would such labour on the engine be any good for it? Certainly should you merely exchange the overdrive gear, the kick down to a stock “third” would be interesting, when it eventually engaged. If you went to move out on the overtake it would be crap. You could look at installing a box from a more modern car, but the custom work and electrical adjustments would make it very expensive. Not a goer imo.
  11. What happened with the black one in the end? I know it had an accident.
  12. Agreed.
  13. You could use the throttle cable gland on the DS.
  14. As above. Didn’t realise you were a millionaire Gary.
  15. I have a Competition Clutch one, good for circa 500lbft with the stock Clutch. It’s not light but it’s been very reliable. Available in the UK at reasonable cost.
  16. I can’t remember off the top of my head but you can get a mixed pack from Halfords for a few quid, always useful.
  17. Indeed, personally I think the 99 headlights look a bit tacky. If they were black inserts...maybe different. So over priced as well. But yes the stock halogen lamps are crap, I find a lot of far eastern brand cars have naff headlights and wimpy horns.
  18. My money is on a faulty injector plug.
  19. I wouldn’t be too self righteous, I almost guarantee one of your cars has Chinese made rear lights, if if it’s stamped something else. China does plastic. ;)
  20. something like that, but Simon is still a ****er.
  21. she’s been with Grandma since about the time you were up with yours, yeah. I treated myself to five minutes when I arrived in Cardiff. Got some work to do now though.
  22. Can’t just let you have it can I. She’s fine, crazy running 35lb of dog bowl bashing fine, but fine. Me I’m a glutton for punishment, which will be one clearer over the coming months.
  23. I’m having lunch now  In fairness I forget about that raised bar, I haven’t had stock calipers for years, so I concede on that aspect. Yes a spacer would of been smarter and there shit Brakes anyway. I still maintain though you need anoither hobby if you’ve time to create threads on this stuff.
