  1. Me personally I'd buy a well looked after but rusty uk for pennies, then raid it for parts.
  2. Use google to find a local hydraulics company, remove the hose you need and have it rebuilt. I had my whole front steering rack lines remade. Wasn't that expensive, there are hoses thankfully very simple ones that are not longer made or sold.
  3. Check the injector by ohming it, you need a result of 12-14ohms. Check that plug, if it's old it might be goosed. There is a set of tests you can preform on the ptu for functionality. Once you've done those two cone back and report your findings.
  4. That guide is in Japanese my friend lol, the general jist is coat hanger, tampon and wiggle.
  5. Should we not as a club have VERY good knowledge of this kind of thing? If a new member came here looking for help sourcing body parts like that, it would very embossing for the reply to be "er dunno boss, either buy oem at mega silly money or there may be a chap on ebay" Let's encourage the guy get him on here as a trader, we NEED traders like that. The inner sill is a very simple component, the outter also pretty simple with the right tooling. I think it's time we started hunting people with the skills or services we need, rather than relying on them to come to us and be charged for that service.
  6. Personally if I was doing one is mount the tub in nose cone like on a z31. Big fmic, and the oil cooler and intake in the smics old location.
  7. Just fit them yourself, cheaper and it will be done right. It's easy peasey.
  8. This is more winner 849hp http://www.300zxclub.com/showthread.php?t=177367&highlight=Single+turbo+build
  9. Here are boys http://www.300zxclub.com/showthread.php?t=211089&highlight=Single+turbo+build
  10. Oh that, yeah seen it a while back. Never liked it, it's even worse with the bonnet on. The single turbo sits in the batteries old location with the 6" long bit of exhaust comes out the wing just infrint of the wing mirror. Nice exercise but UGLY.
  11. Be easier to swap it out for a Jspec elbow, bet you could get one for free. If you've brought full straight through test pipes you will get the divorced downpipes with it.
  12. That's the one you can't beat it. I guess that's the right word antique, it's that feeling you get even sat still.
  13. Try looking at your door latches. The plastic had come off mine so the door didn't pull in fully. It's not leak free but it's way better.
  14. Fashion mate, the honda kids are going silly with it. Cars with soooo much camber they look broken just to squeeze a crazy offset in there. It's like a badge of honour to brag about x crazy offset.
  15. I know what you mean, it's a kind of soul. I'm not saying my z32 is soulless, but it's never felt like an old friend. My old Capri I used to take it out to the new forest and just drive, I only came home because I'd run out of fuel/money. Maybe that was partly the time, I had time and no worries back then. But it felt alive. My z32 feels alive sometimes, usually though when it's there reminding you not to be a dick with punishing loss of traction. That's what I aim to get out the z over the next year something uncomfortable, highly connected and a touch primal savage. Chassis first :)
  16. That's an absolute winner! Love it.
  17. Yeah, that's why I asked. There's ways round it.
  18. Just watch your shit mr poo.
  19. I genuinely don't think I'm ever going to afford a 240z. The prices keep going up and I find more things to hold me back timescale wise :(
  20. Odd question to reply with, but why?
  21. Hrm, iirc nitrogen is an inert gas, ie non flammable etc. So realistically no different to any other pressurised gas filled strut. In thoery I can't see them being any different to any other suspension strut. If in doubt though best to just fire kyb a quick mail?
  22. Cheers Scott, trouble is at present that's all they are, ideas. I really think this needs to be a standalone event, that provides a wider array of options than say jae or japfest, equally an event the mrs and kids can happily come to without getting bored. That's a big plus if that can be achieved in my eye, as it means firstly more chaps will be permitted persimisson to attend under that banner and more importantly it makes them more interested. Many members dont want to sit in a field and talk cars, many don't want to get their tyres warm. Providing multiple options nets a larger attendance.
  23. Is that the fact it looks like the 240z but isn't? I still struggle to tell one from the other!
  24. I do have some ideas, the major one being a z vs z day/weekend. An event with various competitions, show and shine, go karting, drag racing, auto solo and little silly events for the young ins. An event where we pit all fairlady models up and give out silly prizes with a family astmosphere and good times. A bit of something for everyone. The marque with the most trophies overall wins, a polished vg30 piston on a con rod makes a great cheap throphy and is topical.
  25. Don't forget fibreglass body kit and ice.
