  1. 10 secs no lol. I'd be chuffed with low 12s or chuffed to nuts with high 11s, I'm not building a big budget monster as I say, I'm building simple as possible no nonsense little warrior. Watch this space over the next 24 months lol.
  2. It works don't it? Lol. One thing I've never had issue with is getting it to start, starts to quick IMO
  3. Jag, I have an f50 somewhere. Might be here or it might at my parents farm, some of that sort if stuff went there when we moved.
  4. I had a model one in my shelf as a kid, along with a TransAM their in the attic now.
  5. Toss up really, I certainly won't be participating. WAY behind. I did consider going up as spanner hands but it's a long and quite expensive journey from down here in Poole to York.
  6. Ok the general oil we use is 10-40w semi synth, always use an OEM oil filter. Fuel filter should be located on the right inner wing just below the battery. Pretty sure mine 510 starting amps and came from halfords. The gearbox is virtually identical to the skyline box, so no worries there. Infact you will find is quite surprising how much of the skyline r32 came from the same parts bin the z32 did some years earlier. The air filters are located under the nose pannel and you will be hard pushed to find anyone without some sort of aftermarket air filter, be in cone or mushroom type. The na diff you have is a viscous LSD in the r200 format which may be familiar to you. Hand brKes wise is say pretty average for a rwd car ie naff at anything other than being a parking brake. Your first priority is to replace every last coolants hose you can change all fluids and flush through, clean up the engine bay connectors, injectors etc, they really suffer here. Then run the ECU codes and make friends which someone with consult.
  7. If your looking for a participation event the guys are forming a team for TOTB
  8. Next general election will be another Co-allition, no party has enough supporters id put money on it. Labour have left a bad taste in peoples mouth, Blair and Gordon ruined this country lefts be honest. The tories aren't ideal, however I certainly feel things have improved since they came in, I've got taxed less, not a lot but it was about an extra 100 quid in my pocket. The economy has improved, I got a better job as my company is growing, so was able to offer me a job. The banks improved and the minimum deposit amount fell so we were able after lots of hard work to buy our first house, all things I doubt would have happened if labour had remained in power. Lib dems have lost so much face they wont get another crack, I see a conservative/ukip coalition affront.
  9. Not unachievable, by a long way. Not cheap though...I have a dream but I don't care to discuss it openly as its less of a big bucks more of a think harder type build.
  10. Nicely done, lots of work to do then I guess? what spec is it? a non turbo, twin turbo, manual im guessing?
  11. Mine does that aswel, I thought it was the exhaust is wasnt, I've got virtually no heatsheilds. Glad I'm not alone though.
  12. With a thousand hp on a zed and nothing else heavily modded you just smoke tyres and still make 12s! Some of the correct mods would see your 500hp z make a quater mile much quicker.

  14. The diameter is irrelevant mostly, as you will maintain the rolling radius and therefore overall diameter with the true profile. The offset is simply the factor by which the hub face is off centre of the wheel. So If you had offset 0 the Hubface would be bang in the centre line often wheel. So for example if you have positive offset the hub will sit further towards the outter rim, this in turn makes the outter face closer or further away from previous wheel depending on it's size. If you take the wheels width in mm, divide it by two and add or subtract your offset you will get a number that tells you where the outter face will be. There are calculators to do this online if you prefer. At stock height et22 in those widths is going to hang out a bit, but as the far gets lower the wheel is pulled into the arch. I believe a et22 rear in that width is quite popular. The front I'm not so sure. Funki is pretty good at the whole wheel fitment buisness so it's worth chatting with him. Alternatively the yanks are far better at getting wheels to sit right than us so directing the question to the guys at 300zxclub.com should yeild some pretty helpfull replies, there is Infact a running there there called will these wheels fit that might give you the answer without asking the question.
  15. A small adjustable spanner should be enough. The battery terminals are 10mm can't remember what the tie down ones are as I don't have the stock battery clamp anymore.
  16. Thank Christ for that! Now pull the plenum delete the dross and and change those crusty old turbo coolant pipes.
  17. I done seen one in a museum.
  18. New cars are heavy, a Panamera is around 1900kgs! Even a light car such the lotus evora is getting on to being the same curb weight as a z32. The early escorts for example weigh just over a 1000kg a focus which is supposedly fords current version is closer to 1500kg! Compared to an old honda, the z32 is a heavy beast however by modern standards it's a pretty average weight, esp for the hp.
  19. Perfectly sensible move I think, no sense breaking it for the sake of impatience.
  20. Arnt we a clever pair if dicks lol
  21. I sourced a manual one for that reason
  22. Yup there's a 10mm take off on the drivers side to hook up the clutch booster on a manual one.
  23. So much better
  24. Exactly, just better to catch a crack rather than find you have already snapped it while driving along as it's been broken for a while and finally gave up.
