  1. Equal length manifolds are of importance as I understand but the octopus layout as you say would be a nightmare in our cars.
  2. Maybe a mod could move this stuff to a new thread, so we can discuss this interesting topic without making a mess :D
  3. Interesting stuff, weird how things work sometimes. 3" systems do sound awesome in any event.
  4. Yeah, very much so. That defies psychics doesn't it?
  5. Not it liter the thread but I was of the understanding the cat back isn't that important, by the time it's reached that it's cooled down and condensed a bit. So many chose to run 3" front pipes with 2.5" rears, obviously a 3" full system is a bit loud esp in a world of lower and lower track day decibel allowances. You obviously gain more from a full 3" system but not a lot, happy to be corrected but that's how I understood it.
  6. Oh yeah I forgot about that, how's it coming along?
  7. It might yeah, I'm busy the next two weekends in a row, if it's still there il come up with you if you want a second pair if eyes?
  8. We can always take a look mate, won't take long to get to brum. Two hours?
  9. Yes you could, that set of temporary traffic lights at 2am that you can clearly see nothing is coming....we've all done it once or twice. You can argue it generally, with many things a little common sense.
  10. Lol, I guess I'm just a bit liberal. If you hurting no one crack on that's my motto. The laws the law I know but some of it is a bit lacking in common sense.
  11. This, why not get it fitted and set up with the appropriate tune. Far safer than whacking it on and hoping, cheaper than a new engine as well.
  12. Tbh having done my time on a push bike, the fight for who's the bigger tw@ is real even match. I've been pshyically pushed off the road more than once. What does my head in is these bloody road cyclists who ride 2-5 abreast and refuse to move over, like it's the Tour de France. Certainly I'm not going to sit on my bike behind a red light for no good reason, I'm not going to jump it and risk getting run over but say it's all red cos the pedestrian lights are green, but non ones crossing I say sod it. Who's it hurting at the end of the day. I realise some cyclist activities are technically wrong in the eyes of the law but as long as your sensible I don't see an issue.
  13. Yes, and whilst the police are busy waiting for them to kick off afterwards, that makes a whole 90 minutes of quiet roads and over stretched police. I'm going to lay a number 11 outside city hall, no one will notice. :devil2:
  14. Jnr you know will end up jamming an LS in that car of yours won't you lol! Go on do it, doooooo itt. Nice pics, thanks for sharing. I always have time for muscle, esp the big displacement ones, hemi engined cars and big block Chevy motors yummy.
  15. Jealousy is setting in over those turbo's lol!
  16. Those recaros look bob on mate
  17. Bit of luck there. Shameful work by the company though, judging by the fact the belt is still under tension I assume this is a bolt from the strip down etc, caught up during reassembly? Simply turning the engine by hand to check after installation of the belt would have revealed something wasn't right. Which is something to always do isn't it? I always have when I've done a cam belt.
  18. Infact I've gotta drive past it to get hone tomorrow so I can can pick it up for you?
  19. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&storeId=10001&productId=530655&categoryId=165469&langId=-1 Can borrow my trade card if you want
