  1. The pedal has a different leverage point on the NA to compensate, I Spose the worst that will happen is the clutch will fail...
  2. If it was an Na clutch it would be smaller in diameter, the flywheel comes with it right? If so the starter wouldn't engage on the ring. If you'd used the stock fly with an Na friction disc it wouldn't mesh up I don't think, the bolts on the finger plate part wouldn't line up, due to diameter difference at a guess. The finger plate designates the pressure you feel on the pedal does it not?
  3. Drove it yesterday but left it to rest today, fishing and B&Q are no place for the zed.
  4. AMS design nothing, it's all just copies if stuff that's been mass produced in china. There not alone there though, several companies here do that, just look at the adjustable suspension parts, a lot of it is the same stuff rebranded. AMS is cheap but as said the quality isn't there, manifolds with holes in them, exhausts that don't even remotely line up the list goes on, this wouldn't be so bad if they sorted out the faulty ones, there after sales is notoriously awful! Essentially if you buy anything AMS you run the risk of wasting your money, that said many have there manifolds, downpipes etc with no problems...
  5. ahh I thought you had brought some turbos, re clocked them and modified the wastegates and oil drains.
  6. Lovely, I take it you did the fab work to get them to work yourself?
  7. What type of turbos are they Steve?
  8. Yeah me too, the stock boost gauge is in that funny measurement as is my HKS boost gauge
  9. My divorced downpipes are tiny, I always wondered why they would be so small, I guess what your saying earlier explains that.
  10. My understanding is just that, the pressure isn't regulated by the ebc anymore so stock boost levels will be used, either 7 or 9psi with stock turbos, depending on your vac pipe setup. Nice and useful if that's right if you have a hidden switch for it, call it valet mode :)
  11. Probably because it's the same size as one used in another car I expect. Did you not notice it wasn't the right size when you installed it?
  12. Equal length manifolds are of importance as I understand but the octopus layout as you say would be a nightmare in our cars.
  13. Maybe a mod could move this stuff to a new thread, so we can discuss this interesting topic without making a mess :D
  14. Interesting stuff, weird how things work sometimes. 3" systems do sound awesome in any event.
  15. Yeah, very much so. That defies psychics doesn't it?
  16. Not it liter the thread but I was of the understanding the cat back isn't that important, by the time it's reached that it's cooled down and condensed a bit. So many chose to run 3" front pipes with 2.5" rears, obviously a 3" full system is a bit loud esp in a world of lower and lower track day decibel allowances. You obviously gain more from a full 3" system but not a lot, happy to be corrected but that's how I understood it.
  17. Oh yeah I forgot about that, how's it coming along?
  18. It might yeah, I'm busy the next two weekends in a row, if it's still there il come up with you if you want a second pair if eyes?
  19. We can always take a look mate, won't take long to get to brum. Two hours?
  20. Yes you could, that set of temporary traffic lights at 2am that you can clearly see nothing is coming....we've all done it once or twice. You can argue it generally, with many things a little common sense.
  21. Lol, I guess I'm just a bit liberal. If you hurting no one crack on that's my motto. The laws the law I know but some of it is a bit lacking in common sense.
  22. This, why not get it fitted and set up with the appropriate tune. Far safer than whacking it on and hoping, cheaper than a new engine as well.
