  1. Cheers for the extra info Si, as you say all that time effort and money to get less than a stock TT... I'm sure it's responsive and fun but hell. From a techno geek point it's very cool but considering what you could have if you had pumped that time and money into a VG30DETT instead is sickening, I bet that money could produce a 500hp TT
  2. Knife edged headache method you mean? lol. What do you recon would be the max boost you can put through an NA block without dangerous heat levels causing damage. I read that the NA has weaker wrist pins rated at a max of about 350hp.
  3. Can you not quickly whip in the battery from the NA to test if it starts?
  4. Saw this on the US site, thought some of you guys would appreciate it, 284hp out of a vg30de.
  5. Ahh ok as I say I wasn't sure, so cheers for clarifying the details.

  7. I would be as nervous about a very original car as a body kitted to death one. They are old, they do break and they do require maintenance. It looks honest enough in the pics, let's hope it's supported by plenty of receipts.

  9. Isn't that the one that's based around the ranger rover sport, so it's rather heavy for it's engine etc? Heavy might be reliable but it also increases fuel consumption and wear. I don't know that for sure so have a read, just something in the back of my head says that's the case.

  11. Depending on when it was imported, maybe they wanted it to appear the full spec "UK version" there's a few extras arnt there.

  13. How is the electric power steering coming along? Thinking of doing the same to mine, or similar anyways.

  15. Certainly looks like a honest and well cared for example.

  17. Re read what I posted; I bet it's a generic 90s Nissan switch, bit of research and I'm sure you will find one off an easier to source Nissan. Once you work that out is probably even available as a repro part from euro car parts etc, I got a pathfinder reverse switch for £12 new from them it's the same as the £70 z32 one. You could also source a functional one from a breaker.

  19. Delete the useless cruise control? I bet the switch is generic, I doubt it's specific to the z32 or maybe even that pedal. I've used a fair few parts off other Nissans, pathfinder, 200sx etc. If your so inclined find another 90s Nissan that has cruise and find a junker, bet it's the same switch worth a go for a few quid.

  21. Do either have a pressure gauge on the AFPR? I know it's a little different but my old car had a combined AFPR and fuel filter, you had to let the pump prime etc before you could crank it over or it wouldn't start, there were no non returns etc and it was a carb'd affair. It also had a pressure gauge so you could set it up, IF it's correct that the system should remain pressurised when off, which I believe it is then the gauge pressure shouldn't drop unless there is an issue, I do have a fuel pressure tester which didn't cost me very much I'd offer for you to borrow it if you needed it but I'm sure you will blag one from your work. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be able to confirm what's normal.
