fuel pump relay test
As I recall there is also a fuel pump fuse in the small box in front of the master cylinder. Have you checked that? Mine kept blowing when I had a faulty pump. The fuse is a funny cartridge type shape with a window in the top... HTH Gareth

Did you choose a zed - or you just didn't have any more money?
I was looking for a toy which had to be Nissan and turbocharged as I love Nissans. Very nearly bought a R33 Skyline GTS-M but with it being a 2nd car I needed to start another insurance policy and the group 20 import insurance was huuuuugggeee. Did some investigations into alternatives and the 300zx ticked the boxes: 1)Nissan 2)Turbocharged 3)Good looking 4)Fast And as well as that mines a UK car so pay £280 a year insurance! So I'm not a true Z-car enthusiast but I'm happy :)

OMG look what I came across.
Having seen this at Dave's house a couple of times, I have to say I think this is a great looking zed. Shame to see whats happening to it...

FAO Nend
Ref Lymons post... OS Giken gear sets are the same for the Z32/R32/R33 according to their website...maybe thats another option? Although they seem to be close ratio sets so maybe no good for top speed runs. RB Motorsports are the UK distributor. HTH

How about a Holinger 6 speed sequential? You can get the bell housing adapters for the Z32 apparently... Probably talking big wonga though....

A few goodies in Japan
If I had the space I'd be taking orders, (with a commision obviously :D). Unfortunatley I doubt I'll have much time to get anything for myself! ....doesn't mean I won't try though ;)

How often do you use your 300ZX
Once or twice a week if I'm lucky. Don't seem to get much chance at the moment :(

A few goodies in Japan
I wish!, I got an ear bashing off the missus just because I said I'd like to go and watch some of the late night ring road 'racing' in Tokyo. I will definitely come back with some stuff though....she just doesn't know it yet ;)

Bad news about friday
What crummy luck! I hope that Leigh gets better soon, there is nothing worse than spending week after week in hospital - I know, it drove me absolutely nuts! All the best... Gareth

something to worry about....??
Just to give another opinion. I had an almost similar problem with the oil pressure gauge dropping really low, particularly when warm and sitting at traffic lights etc. I recently changed the oil to a good quality fully synthetic oil and now I haven't seen it much below 30 since. Maybe try a different oil???

Most common MOT failure points?
Just got back now........ IT PASSED!!!!! A few advisory notes though, mainly to do with years of being on UK roads. All related to the rear end underneath (including suspension bushes, corrosion on suspension components etc). I think I'll keep an eye out for a good rear subframe and replace the lot over the winter. Another 12 months of Zedding though :hyper:

Most common MOT failure points?
To be honest I've decided to expect the worst, that way anything else is a bonus! I have asked to be able to 'observe' the guy doing the test so that I can see exactly what he's talking about if he finds anything.

Most common MOT failure points?
Well the car is booked into the MOT station on Saturday morning  , I was just wondering what are the most common things the zx fails on (not that I expect a fail - obviously :nelson: ).

Happy B'day Chaps.......
Cheers for the birthday greetings all - missus wouldn't let me near the 'puter yesterday and I was off work so didn't spend all day on here pretending to work! Did have a few of these though... :duffer:

NZR: Quiz of the day! Subject: Skylines
Q1 - All the GTS Skylines I have looked at had the battery in the back so I reckon its standard. Q2 - I was told they have a safety boost feature, can't confirm this 100% though If I remember any more I'll post later.........

If Giraffes had shorter necks would they have longer legs?
It would have to have longer legs, how else would it reach the ground? :wack:
