  1. I have tried to sell the zed.... really I have. I did all the right things to sell. I have put up a fair and honest description on the best forum for the car. I have invited people round to test drive it, and been happy to see them when they turn up. But something has stopped me from selling... I tell myself, I can't afford to run 2 cars anymore. Sell the practical economical hatchback, sell the impractical thirsty sports car and have one fast practical car like an RX8 or Audi S4... Everytime someone has driven it and asked if I will take an offer - I always say don't offer yet, drive a few more just to be sure... Why do I do this? Am I going mad? Do I really want to sell the 300zx? Here is my dilema..... My 300zx is more reliable.... My Alfa is sitting on the drive with a faulty ECU. I never had any problems with the 300zx. If I drive sensibly I can get better fuel economy from the 300zx (ok - not in town, but on a long run I can). The best I get out of the Alfa is 30mpg I just got 33mpg from the 300zx. The 300zx is more practical!! I had to do a tip run a few weeks back. I tried to get some crates in the back of the Alfa, but the boot wasn't long enough, so I just dropped the rear seats of the 300zx - job done! The S4 is not as quick. I have test driven a few now, and I just don't get that torquey rush I get in the 300zx..... Even though it's supposed to be for sale, I keep buying bits for it??? To cut a long story short.... I'm keeping the 300zx. I just can't bring myself to sell it. It's too much fun, it does everything I want and I couldn't replace it. It's a love hate relationship!
  2. UPDATE - Just tried to look, from the cats back it looks like a 4" drainpipe all the way back to the tailpipe. On the end is a stainless plaque that says JASMA SR - I couldn't see anything else written on it.
  3. Happy birthday matey
  4. I have looked on the web for a twin exit HKS silent Hi-Power and can't find them anywhere. Where did you see them?
  5. Here is all the info you need matey: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=70720
  6. Sorry but no, as per my mod - please subscribe to be able to advertise. It is worth it, and you also get access to all the other areas. That small fee is how we keep this place going, so please don't bypass it. I understand you are new, so you might not have known, but you know now.
  7. Does this mean the stock one is not recommended? I don't mind having stock.. but I don't want to spoil any future upgrades?
  8. Thanks Pete, do you who stocks them? I have just done a google search and they seem to be around £500 and are single exit only. Anyone know where to get them cheaper and twin exit? I'm not a fan of the single exit look.
  9. When I bought my zed it had a large bore single exit exhaust. It is really loud and meaty which some people might prefer, but I would prefer a quiet ride. Is the stock exhaust any good or is it too restrictive? What after market exhaust is the best compramise between noise and performance?
  10. Thanks for that Pete The exact weight of my zed is 1680kgs (see thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=106730&referrerid=4807) The GTech pro says it's measurements are including drag and is an accurate RWHP figure which it is typically a couple % lower than dyno figures.
  11. I am trying to do it and it's not working right. When it says to accelerate, do you go full throttle, or do you accelerate normally?
  12. I probably see one zed every 3-4 months on the road, but not one in that 4-500 miles of driving - sorry
  13. Filled up my Manual TT yesterday morning, reset the trip counter and filled up again tonight having covered 640km's (400 miles). I only needed to put in 55 litres to fill it up again!! I work that out as 33.33 mpg giving me a full tank range of 512 miles on a 70L tank. I wasn't on an economy drive, just a lot of motorway miles this weekend.
  14. do you do long or short journeys?
  15. in fact i am sure i have a working laptop spare too
  16. try and build the system, if you are missing any parts, let me know as I will probably have them here somewhere
  17. Prices are down to the same as a 300zx. similar power as a TT with similar performance, Would you have one?
  18. Welcome and congratulations matey!
  19. Welcome and congratulations matey!
  20. Anyone got the new world of warcraft upgrade? is it any good? worth getting? i haven't played wow for ages, but this might tempt me back http://video.google.co.uk/videosearch?q=wrath+of+the+lich+king+cinematic&hl=en&emb=0&aq=1&oq=wrath+of+the+lich+king# http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VSZc2Mc5iQ&feature=related
  21. Well done Graham, contratulations
  22. How do you calculate your cars carbon footprint and how would you go about offsetting the carbon produced? I have just tried to convince my mother in-law that the zed is so aerodynamic that if I plant one tree a year I am carbon neutral - but I don't think she's buying it!
  23. i have it on the xbox 360 - it's tough to begin with because you are just learning the ropes.... like an extended tutorial. but once you've past that it - it's a fantastic game.
  24. i thought your car was silver? looks white from those pics
