c'mon Si, how much do you want for it? I have a set of Neon lights ready to go under that car and a set of wheel spinners. Add to that a night rider flashing light and it will be my perfect car. how much, how much, how much????????????????

I am currently a self employed IT contractor and my current contract comes to an end next week as the company (capgemini) are having a cull of as many staff as possible. I have been looking around but haven't found anything yet. Now capgemini have just offered me a permanent job - but at 60% less than my contract rate. I wouldn't be tempted (i do feel quite insulted) but the markets are really bad at the moment. What would you guys do?

Big thanks for that Jimmy - I just did my first ECU check! problem is i got error code 55 - which looks like everything is AOK... so how come the increased performance all of a sudden?

I got in my standard Manual JDM TT today after not driving it for 3 weeks. It felt different, it was boosting very strongly going upto the MAX +7 on the boost guage. I am not sure if this is normal, but usualy it only goes halfway to 3.5. I put it down to the cold air at first, but after 15 minutes it went back to normal. Now I am guessing I have got used to safety boost, the ECU had reset itself but after a bit of driving it went back to safety boost.... I have had 2 other TT's one was standard auto, and the other was modified with about 380bhp so I don't have much to compare it to... It is definately quicker than my old NA which is why I didn't think of safety boost. What do you think?

Thanks for the tip, would it fit in that 3k allowance? I'm not sure how it works (hence the thread).

If a job offers a company car allowance of 3k a year, which can either be used to get a car or will gavie it as a cash alternative.... is it worth using to get a car? if yes, what is a good car in that budget? It would need to have 4 seats and be a manual - other than that I am completely open to suggestion.

I remember a post from a while back where someone had replaced their JDM foglights with crystal clear modern fog/driving lights. I was talking about this the other day and have since tried to find pics of them, or find the make and model of the lights used - but can't find them anywhere. Anyone know what lights were used and got any pics of them fitted?

Cheers guys, Not selling yet and if I do, I will put up a for sale thread in the correct place - just looking for opinions. The problem with selling seats now means I cant drive the zed - so hopefully I can find some nice recaros for the right price first.

I hoped to be able to afford a set of lightweight recaro seats for my zed, but I think I might have to sell my seats first to pay for them. How much do they go for? both electric (passenger and driver) in black leather - excellent condition. I did have the drivers bolster proffesionally repaired and you can't tell except for not having a pocket on the back of the drivers seat (they took the leather for the repair from the rear panel so the leather matched). Not a for sale thread... just seeing if I will get enough money to make it worth selling them to raise money for the new seats.

how fast would you go for every 1k revs in 5th gear for both TT and NA?

I have just washed the zed and can see some funny looking marks on my polished lip of my wheels, I guess it's some minor corrosion. How can I remove it, and how can I prevent it?

maybe not, but for £60 a year I get £475x5 repairs if needed. Thats £2375 of repairs for £60. I think that makes great sense. Also - if I do need an engine swap costing £1500 - 2k I would be happier if the AA are picking up 25% of that bill minimum! and they will deal with the recovery. That £475 covers the labour of taking the engine out!

I have this cover too - and my damn zed has been too reliable to use it!
