  1. I am still stuck in the darkages using post-it notes, scraps of paper and old beer mats to organize my world. What is the best pda or smartphone or whatever? What do you guys use?
  2. Stalk is on the left (opposite side to the indicator) and it only controls the cruise control.
  3. If it helps? I have an airbag and cruise control, so my controls are on a stalk, not on the steering wheel. You are free to come and check mine out if it helps.
  4. could you supercharge a TT? precious little room there and how would you hook it up?
  5. I think that should read 280 at the flywheel not wheels.
  6. nothing major, low screenwash - but I have never seen a low screenwash light before!
  7. I looked into dry sumping my old car and there was nothing available anywhere. Try an accusump, that was the closest I could get....
  8. How can they copyright an image that is in the public domain - and isn't theirs? That is the black and white image of the Nissan 99 spec publicity shot - the yellow one we all see regularly!
  9. I have often wished for a Wipe clean interior!
  10. that may be true, but he couldn't shake me... and yes - I had a big grin all the way home. Yes mate, the first one I have seen on the roads.
  11. Absolutely... a great way to refresh an old dull paintjob.
  12. on my way up the M1 today I noticed a menacing car catching me in my rear view mirror. I pulled over to see a grey Nissan GTR pass me. V** GTR I pulled in behind it and away we went. Now traffic was not the best so we were doing far less than motorway speeds. When the GTR got some clear motorway he floored it - I was suprised at my ability to keep up. Over the next 30 or so miles we came up behind porsches, TVR's and all manner of wannabe super cars, all of which were dispatched as if they were 1L metros. On arrival at our private test track the next round could begin. Clearly I had rattled the gtr a little since he couldn't pull away - (I don't mean that in a bad way - I hope he was having the fun I was) so the next round of tests proved that 50-100 it was pretty equal but a short blat from 100-130 showed the GTR to just have the edge over me in the higher gears - not something I am used to being a zed driver. All in all, a fantastic days driving - just a shame I didn't see another 300zx all day.
  13. but won't that mess up the ABS? would you have to upgrade the rears at the same time?
  14. I always thought they occupied the same space and it was one or the other? Thanks for the info! EDIT : I mean I thought that if you had the bulkhead brace fitted, it stuck out too far to fit the strut brace..
  15. front strut brace vs brake bulkhead brace You can only fit one, what do you go for - better brakes? or better handling? Or is there a way to have both?
  16. c'mon... spill the beans. What guages have you added? what do they monitor? what do they look like? where did you fit them?
  17. Does the kit affect your abs set up? wnad what size disks does it use?
  18. Then there is also the issue raised by JeffTT about what happens to ABS when you upgrade your disks, calipers.. The must be an upgrade for maximum braking (disks, calipers, hoses, pads) that increases the size and efficency of all components AND allows ABS to work safely.
  19. Nice.... except for the fact they wont fit in my zed... oh and they won't be very supportive when hard cornering in the zed..... oh and the fact they weigh as much as a small house - they might slow me down... oh, and the fact they wont tilt forward for access to the back seats.... oh... and the fact most of these points were covered in the above posts... but apart from that - they would be really comfy!:rofl::rofl::slap::D
  20. Not sporty enough for a 300zx though I loved them, but they just wont fit in the 300zx and they don't tilt! But I am looking for something like them. Also - both my seats are electric and weigh a ton! I can't wait to bin them!
  21. round the top gear test track, what time would he get? then how fast could he go with a fully sorted one? just wonder how are cars compare with modern ones.
  22. I think you need to have a rest - you are a loon!
  23. What are the best car seats you ever sat in? I am thinking of changing mine for some comfortable light weight sports seats. I remember the recaro seats from a sierra cosworth were amazingly comfortable and really hugged you in place - quite light weight too....
  24. Where do you get a nismo crank from? and what benefits do you get?
  25. being gps, I would say the TomTom is no more than 1% out, and that is only down to poor refresh rates. The speedo can be well out, but the average is 10%. This can be much more if you change your wheels for bigger/smaller ones.
