I have a 12v cay battery you can use for at least 12months. I am building a westfield and wont need the donors battery for at until I am at that stage of the build. I know the battery is a goodun! Will this help? ps, my Mrs works in Warrick so you could pick it up no probs.

I have looked into a project like this and decided to get my skills up by building a locost, which I am currently doing. To make a self built car, I recommend looking at http://www.dpcars.net/ This guy had the idea, designed the car in CAD, built the car and every step of the way has documented every step. It has taken him 4 yrs to do and you can read about it in detail. My own thought are how will you get the power to the wheels? a Z32 is front engined RWD, there are not many gearbox/transaxles that will cope with enough power - that are cheap enough for you to get it wrong a couple of times..... and you will! A porsche G50 box will set you back the thick end of 5k for a good low mileage box. Please however do not think I am trying to put you off, I am not and I would love to see it happen. Just because I couldn't find a solution to the 'get the power down' question doesn't mean I can't be done. I am just saying I don't know how to do it cheaply enough to make it viable. If you have loads of money to throw at the project, Quaiffe will put you a bespoke box together for about 15k which will suit your needs, or an off the shelf box for around 10k. Hope this helps.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I will have more than enough input from you guys! I will send out the first chapter for your review when I get home from work. Once I have gone through all comments and reviewed the story again I will offer you chapter 2 and work on that basis. I am writing a short story and need a couple of proof readers?

My old zed was an Auto, with a manual conversion so smaller turbos, Mines ecu, ss exhaust and Apexi filter and 1mm boost jests My new zed is a 92 Auto, standard ecu, same ss exhaust and same Apexi air filter - no boost jets. Now I know my auto will feel slower than the manual, but it feels LOADS slower. How much difference in power will the mines ecu and 1mm jets make? How much to have them fitted to my new car? Who makes the best modified ECU for my set up?

The Mrs has asked for one and I know nothing about them. Has anyone ever owned/driven one? Are they any good? I suggested a mx5 instead, but she is Italian and would rather a fwd. She has done a lot of research... but I thought I would run it by you guys before I spend any cash!
