  1. got a pair of bmw 330td discs set up for the 300, got brackets for calipers to suit the discs all you would need is bolts and spacer rings. discs are 325mm dia 30mm thick and they are dimpled let me know if your interested.
  2. check on sxoc mate they used to have drawings and sizes for brackets on there, get your own made up.i,ll check see if iv'e still got them somewhere.
  3. which bit dont you believe.
  4. in the middle o doing lpg conversion just now so cant comment on z on lpg, but have done a lot of other conversions, most cars you wouldnt notice any difference under normal driving conditions but with some convertions you do lose a little bit of top end power. kit im useing you can combine the lpg and petrol so you dont lose any power, theoreticaly you can combine both systems which would give a theoreticl max power of 800bhp on the z (approx 400bhp from petrol and the same again from lpg).
  5. yep rear cover got a nice set of vents for bonnet so that should help with heat build up.
  6. found some neat little lights that can be used as fog light on ebay, i motorcycle parts under led brake lights, about 70mm long by 12mm thick they can be bolted under rear lip of bumper and dont stick out like a sore thumb. and yes they will pass mot as long as they are fitted to o/s of car.
  7. so do i,just the rear one tho to hide lpg conversion bits under.
  8. no its not can only advise if tiedown is missing, and if you cant see battery or tiedown its not testable, you can only test what you can see because your are not allowed to dismantle any part of the car during the test.
  9. battery is not a testable item.
  10. not a problem with mot, a lot of new cars have a lot more of engine bay covered with plastic covers.
  11. hate to tell you this but a steering rack gaitor being split is a mot fail, so tester has basicaly issued you with a dodgy ticket.
  12. was considering a gto until i had one in for an mot first thng i noticed was lack of space inside car z has plenty of arm/leg room, head room as well gto felt very cramped and roof was just about on my head, gto looked like it would be a pain to work on as well, owner let me take it for a spin, didnt feel as quick as the z. end result is z is now undergiong a full rebuild. gto is a good enough motor but z puts a bigger smile on ya face.
  13. theoreticaly because the 3 lite engine pumps out slightly more gas at any given rpm you should get slightly less lag and slightly higher boost but it also depends on on the turbo impellor and compressor sizes as well.
  14. what dictates working limit of a turbo is it the amount of air it can compress, or is it the amount of air it can suck.would a ram air system help a turbo work more efficiently.
  15. £300 is 1 a lot of beers, 2 about 15 hours of my time to earn it. also wouldnt buy second hand tubs without being able to inspect them first, so if these turn out to be of no use i will be saving the pennies for spanking new ones, probably some version of the t28 but with ball bearings etc.
  16. ruishy1 just going by info i can find mate i know the t28's fitted to the 200sx and the pulsar gtr are different and skyline forums state standard turbo's as being t25's, wil find out for sure when i get tubby's off next weekend and measure everything up.
  17. been checking round skyline forums and there's a few caiming that kind of power with dyno sheets to prove it. i know myself that a standard t25 is capable of about 220/230 bhp max and standard t28 being around the 300 bhp iirc.
  18. thanks legrath engines out anyway and its realy only time for fitting , turbo's basicaly free just got to help mate strip car for spares.
  19. getting these very cheap and im an engineer by trade so fitting isnt a problem, just need to find out what size thy are for deffinate and power capabilities
  20. just been looking on skyline forums and from what i can find on there standard turbo's are t25's and are capable of over 500bhp can anyone here confirm this.
  21. thanks quavey thought i was going daft for a minute there, and turbo,s on the vg engine are not sided they are both the same think the compressor houseing is set at different angles though.
  22. odd was looking at a pair tonight and they looked to be the same will have to double check tomorrow, is there much difference in size between them normaly
  23. anyone know what size standard r33 gtr turbo,s are, are they any bigger/ better than standard 300 ones. thanks
  24. you were ripped of mate they are full cats , i got £40 for two zx cats with over half the innards missing. half cats are what you get from exhaust companies as cheap replacement parts.
