  3. make sure you use a good strong glue on door panels i used spray glue which was ok for all panels except doors, vinyl has started peeling off already and theyre not on car yet, only been sitting in spare room for last couple of weeks gonna have to redo them with better glue.

repairing auto boxes is a specialised job with quite a few specialised tools required im a mechanical engineer by trade and i wouldnt mess with an auto box in an average equiped garage its not a diy kinda job i would get a specialised auto box repair shop to sort it mate.
  5. got mine from ebay mate search under faux leather or vinyl theres quite a few who do it.
  6. same here grab acorner and pull comes off quite easily.

    mines a zuperman badge.
  11. syed i have had total of four copy bumpers from ebay the first one i had no option but to blend all the seams in because the gaps were that big that was on a 200sx s13, front and rear on a calibra i had to cut 50 mm out of the centres to get them to fit properly and the last one which was a veileside copy fitted quite well and only required a small amount of filling to get it perfect (bought from firefox on here) the z one was the best quality one with a good thickness of fibreglass while the others especially the 200sx one were pretty flimsy. in my opinion unless you can fit these yourself you would end up cheaper buying a proper one cause a body shop is gonna charge you for a days labour minimum to fit a copy and get it looking spot on. forgot to say have not seen actual item your looking at so cant comment on it.
  12. you need to flat spoiler down with 1000 grit wet and dry, make sure all shiney bits are gone, then prime it,2/3 coats should be ok, then flat down again just to make sure its smoooth with no dust or gritty bits in it then paint to your prefered colour. couple of options for sticking it down you can use 3m double sided tape or tiger seal which is a bit like silicon sealer but stronger. t/cut all of area where spoiler will sit this will clean paintwork so that glue or tape can get a good hold. you can get mixed paint in cans from most motor factors even halfords do it these days along with a range of custom paints, just get paint code from car and they will make it up for you.
  13. yep your right lsd or prmanent 4 wheel drive on older style rollers and good chance of broken diffs, you do get computerised rollers that you can test 4wd or lsd,s on as well tho.
  14. you can only test a car with a lsd on certain types of rollers if mot station has older type rollers they have to use a decelerometer to chack your brakes, every mot station must have one of these , but why they have advised you on this i dont know, maybe examiner just being a bit over cautios but nothing to be worried about.
  15. aiv is all the junk connected to other end of flexi pipes its hidden away in behind wheel arch liner at the rear of the front wheel arches consitsts of air filter unit and a control valve one of each in each arch you can either remove all the gubbins or just disconect the flexi pipe. it would inject air into the cats to help them heat up quicker and help catalictic reaction to improve emissions.
  16. yeah i know what you mean but better ones had a full space frame chassis iirc
  17. wonder if you could squeeze a vg30dett in there.
  18. some of the early ones were built on beetle bases
  19. yep loverly there one of these sitting on blocks in some blokes drive about 2 miles away from me its a bare shell sitting there slowly fadeing to a white/pink/red combination and owner wont sell it asked first time ,almost begged the second but no joy worst thing is i pass it once a week.
  20. sorry cant get pics at the moment cars on axle stands getting preped for painting.
  21. yep so am i mate but being an engineer by trade i knew i could make them fit even if they didnt so i took the chance and didnt have to modify anything, i work at a tyre and exhaust fitting place at the moment (mot tester) and they fitted better than a lot of replacement exhausts ive had the pleasure of fitting, think the problems with some of the ebay ones have been with pipes from another seller, have seen a couple of other people selling what look like the same pipes.
  22. power comes in lower in rev range and car feels stronger mid range also had to back off boost controller a bit cause it was hitting higher boost sooner causing boost controller to cut in and create an annoying surging effect.
  23. yep i bought a set of these from same seller got mine for £92, fitted well and good quality. they fit very close to the sump on an auto tho, been on for 4 months now and no probs . when fitting bolt everything loosely in place and then fully tighten everything starting at turbo and work your way back.power comes in lower down the rev range now.
  24. try checking the flexi hose mate these can break up internaly and act like a one way valve have see,n it happen on brake line flexi,s a few times now.
  25. simple resistor mod mate stay well clear of these they work by altering temperature information being fed to ecu so ecu supplies more fuel and more fuel only doesnt adjust timi8ng or anything else plenty of proper chips to be bought on this club at a reasonable price.
