A bit of research in to a monaro
Can't beat a GM V8 sound :) This was my custom exhaust on my VXR8:

A bit of research in to a monaro
I really miss my VXR8. I would have another in a heartbeat, but no way I can make the man maths work at the moment. I am tempted by an early CV8 with the LS1 as a replacement for my slicktop though.

A bit of research in to a monaro
I think Monkfish Performance have an open day coming up. They're up near Milton Keynes, and pretty much the authority in the UK on CV8's and Clubsport R8's. Well worth a visit. - - - Updated - - - It was never a Vauxhall though. Just badged as one. Wholly designed by Holden.

Monaro is a coupe. Doesn't look anything like a Vectra.

Have a look here: http://www.hsv.org.uk/ I had the VXR8 with the LS3 engine, so can't really offer advice on the early CV8's.

Quiet around these parts
See my first post about reduced numbers of 300's. That's what I believe is the cause of the downturn. Reason I said about the 350z forum being so popular was against the comments that social media are to blame for all forums reducing in popularity.

Quiet around these parts
I disagree with this to a point. I moderate on the 350z-uk forum and we are busier than ever.

Quiet around these parts
I should clarify I didn't mean they are all dogs. Just a high majority seem to be rot boxes. And not wishing to drag up an old debate, but there are many cars/owners who for one reason or another prefer not to visit this forum or are no longer welcome. (I think that's about as tactful as I can put it!).

Quiet around these parts
I think part of the issue is the number of cars on the road in the UK, or more specifically it's reduction. 3 years ago when I first started looking for a Z32 there were always 10-20 for sale on AT and PH. At the moment there are A quick add up on Howmanyleft.com shows there are 1217 variations of 300zx on the road or SORNed in the UK. The original core members have their cars for 5 years or whatever, and then sell up and move on and don't come back. A lot of younger members buy the car, realise they've bought a dog, break it or flog it and we never see them again. Thus the numbers of core members with a lot of knowledge or friendships within the forum reduce. Simple fact is less cars = less members = less posts.

proximity sensor for a remote alarm would be my guess. Trace the wires back and see where the finish.

Can't create a classified listing
Agree it's a very cumbersome system. Previous method of threads was much easier to create ads and to browse them. The most annoying feature for me is if I use "new content", and spot a for sale listing and open it. I then have to open another link before I can see pics of the item. Ebay is easier.

Wheels
USDM na cars had a non staggered set up. Generally consensus is a staggered offset on powerful RWD cars. But to be honest, unless you are tracking it regular then the difference wouldn't be too noticeable.

racist.
You're using Australians as an example of a population who aren't racist?! Really?! I have yet to meet one (and I've worked with dozens) who I would not attribute some amount of inherit racism to. Dan - I despair because naive, unintelligent people believe that we would be better if the BNP, or the EDL or whatever this months invogue neo-fascist party were in power.
-
racist.
I really do despair for this country. But not for the reasons you do.
-
racist.
Go back far enough in our Family tree's an we're all immigrants or mixed race. People need to get over themselves and their obtuse views on society. UK economy would be crippled without workers from other countries who have came here for work. Kick them all out and they'd soon be having a Band Aid for this country.

Japfest and 300zx stand ticket for sale
Drop a message to Steve Burns, I think there are a few members on Z-Club and 350z-uk (same stand) who were after a ticket.

At least he didn't cut up a FD to do it.

Clock
IIRC the clock maker changed around '93. As such the PCB internals changed.

Falcon Performance Meet - 4th May
My phone was on the blink so didn't get any pics. 12x 350/370's turned up, but I was the lone Z32 flying the flag.

Subframe and Differential bushes change - time needed?
I've got the bushes etc already. As I say, I'd planned to do them myself. But work is manic, and I have a number of long distance drives to do in the Zed so it needs sorting soon. I'd rather not pay the labour twice so will stick with the full new bushes. I figured on a day, but just needed confirmation, as a day is all I have free to get them done before I drive to South Wales in it.

Subframe and Differential bushes change - time needed?
I had planned on doing the subframe and Differential carrier bushes myself, but the car is quite unpleasant to drive at the moment as all 8 of those bushes are fecked. I don't have the time to do them DIY so will need to get them done at a garage (I have a choice of 3 that are local with good reps). What kind of time frame will I be looking at? (Original collars don't need saving as Whiteline bushes include outter collar). Price isn't an issue, but time is.
