  1. ok thanks, so I need to get a new runner and pin thing from Nissan?
  2. Hi, I've got this darn rattling from the windows when open slightly. I've read the posts about a simple fix on here but haven't had any luck with it. I took off the B pillar cover and found a nut underneath a small cover just under the seatbelt mount. This is nice and tight and still rattling. Am I looking at the wrong thing or is it going to be something else entirely? I recorded the rattling, in this position it is worst.
  3. The ttzd article is for a Series 2, for S1 look here http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=ha&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=118&design=default&total=168
  4. there's no converter fitted, is a resistor modded speedo. It's wildly inaccurate too but I don't think it's related.
  5. Thanks for the advice guys :) To make it clear what is going on I took a short video, keeping a constant throttle position the whole way, you can see how long it takes to shift up through the gears.
  6. Yes it's a JDM model, putting it in hold doesn't seem to make a great deal of difference. Hi, yes 1st to 2nd does take too long and the change is often quite harsh. I used my datascan and the TPS is saying 0.42v at idle with the idle position switch working fine. This would be considered a good setting right?
  7. Hi, so I finally got my Z on the road after far too long. I've never driven an automatic before so maybe it's just the way they are but it seems incredibly stupid to me. It seems intent on revving the engine up for no reason, it holds onto low gears for what seems like an eternity before shifting up, and it will downshift if you so much as breath on the accel pedal. Even if you just increase the throttle just enough to maintain speed up a hill it will drop down and rev pointlessly all the way until the top. Accelerating at a medium sort of pace seems a chore too, really slow or fast is fine but 'normal' speed seems to result in this no mans land of torque converter slip. Does this sound like normal behaviour of the autobox or is mine knackered and needing replacement? FWIW the TPS is calibrated perfectly so no issue there. Cheers :)
  8. With good ventilation and a good activated charcoal respirator you'll be fine. Don't **** around spraying 2k with no mask though, that's for retards.
  9. a knackered non-return valve in the pipe probably
  10. ADAC have tested the ZE912, found it was rubbish.
  11. yeah, I haven't personally attacked anyone so I'd appreciate an apology for that snotty PM you just sent me.
  12. Who are they then, other fanboys from the skyline owners club? Fact of the matter is, the R35 is more 'GTR' than ever, the French didn't really have anything to do with it at all, and the designer is more of a genius than pretty much any car designer, never mind the old skylines. Z32 is old school, doesn't stand a chance against Godzilla.
  13. Made primarily for racing, LOL. They were raced in the JTCC, a Group A touring car series. By definition, this is a class for 'production-derived vehicles', absolutely NOT cars made primarily for racing.
  14. So today I have learned that HollowPoint is totally delusional and hasn't got a ****ing clue.
  15. Talk about over reaction. This type of arrangement is very common and there's nothing wrong with it at all.
  16. This is completely awful, but check out the Mitsuoka Le Seyde for something even worse ;)
  17. correct, they are an uprated sport shock, non-adjustable, JDM only.
  18. What BMW is it anyway? As a rule, they have open diffs, unless its an M model, or a really old one.
  19. Not bad thanks, you? Keep the zed in the end?
  20. Blast from the past here, probably wouldn't remember me mind.
  21. Well, the dash light problem may or may not be related to not starting. However, when you said there was fuel, did you mean in the rail, or in the cylinders? If the injectors are not releasing then check for CAS or ECU faults.
