  1. The car has a Nismo 300km/h speedo fitted? I guess it does 'cos stock goes to 180. In this case the ECU will have the limiter disabled, no reason why you would fit a 300k speedo if you weren't going to derestrict it.
  2. sounds like the over run fuel cut has been disabled to me, nothing sinister.
  3. Same reason any dyno graph doesn't cross at 5252, because the scales are not the same.

  5. really? I have to say, I don't come on here much any more. I don't really appreciate coming back on to ask a simple question to then be given shit straight away by the mods. Used to be a cool place.

  7. Seems to be a large range in the prices I'm seeing in the FS section here, so i'm unsure on values these days. It's a 91 JDM, 2+2 auto TT, ~110,000km, pearl white. Had very little use and been garaged since it came off the boat in 2001 so the body doesn't have any rust at all. Has leather, original deep pile mats, targa bags. Full 60k service was done a while ago, only done 50 miles since then though. New cam belt, waterpump, v belts, all that stuff. 18" wheels, 7mm tread all round. Bad parts.. Rear spoiler is ****ed, needs replacement. Drivers door dented and scratched. Drivers seat bolster worn. Is it going to be worth 2k?

  9. You got any more info on this? Mine makes a god awful noise. Had a spare compressor for ages but never been bothered to fit it. If I can just swap the pulley/clutch and it will be fixed then that's ideal.

  13. Thats much too cold mate, you'll not be doing the engine any favours by running it cold like that. It'll probably running 'on choke' all the time too, pissing away your fuel and giving you a nice dose of bore wash. New 'stat time, you'll need to replace the coolant and bleed after that anyway so don't worry about that. Normal running temp should be about 190-195 Farenheit.
  14. FD is 3.692 on a TT, isn't it, 4.083 is the NA ratio.

  22. Yep, fine so long as the test is booked but you should only drive it straight back home after. Expect to get pulled too, that ANPR business is shit hot, I got pulled within a minute of joining the M5 the other week driving back from MOT.

    The car you are talking about sounds like a knackered old shed tbh. Worth it for less than 1k I guess if you want to spend 3k on it to get it up to scratch, or you could just buy a tidy manual for 4k.
