  1. Ceejay has posted his mobile number up somewhere on here so you can contact him when you arrive. I would guess that the convoy will take about 1 hr to 1,1/2 hours to get there. You don't want to be too late arriving as they will presumably want to set up displays before the public are let in. HTH
  2. When my boys were younger they used to have 2 african pygmy goats which they would take for walks on leads round the village.
  3. very best wishes Vinz
  4. not to be used in conjunction with brown ale:eek:
  5. I think you should sieze his balls.
  6. but these appear to be all American jokes. They don't pay anything like we do. God help them when reality kicks in.
  7. I am no engineer and I am amazed that you could contemplate repairing a wheel in that condition and then using it on a high performance car. Have you even considered the repercussions should you be involved in an accident due to the wheel failing.
  8. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My type of sheriff……. He even has his own webpage: http://www.mcso.org/ You all remember Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona , who painted the jail cells pink and made the inmates wear pink prison garb. Well......... SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN! Oh, there's MUCH more to know about Sheriff Joe! Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay. The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behavior. They give great classes for anyone who'd like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows. The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million. Teresa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered, and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost us $78. The prisoners get the benefit of about $0.28 an hour for working, but most would work for free, just to be out of their cells for the day. Most of his budget is for utilities, building maintenance, etc. He pays the prisoners out of the fees collected for adopted animals. I have long wondered when the rest of the country would take a look at the way he runs the jail system, and copy some of his ideas. He has a huge farm, donated to the county years ago, where inmates can work, and they grow most of their own fresh vegetables and food, doing all the work and harvesting by hand. He has a pretty good sized hog farm, which provides meat, and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6 - $8 for the Holidays, and plant it later. We have six trees in our yard from the Prison. Yup, he was reelected last year with 83% of the vote. Now he's in trouble with the ACLU again. He painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural, that has a special hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report suspected illegal aliens. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn't doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought 4 new buses just for hauling folks back to the border. He's kind of a 'Git-R-Dun' kind of Sheriff. TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO HE IS THE MARICOPA ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY: Sheriff Joe Arpaio (In Arizona) who created the 'Tent City Jail': He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them. He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights Cut off all but 'G' movies. He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects. Then He Started Chain Gangs For Women So He Wouldn't Get Sued For Discrimination. He took away cable TV Until he found out there was A Federal Court Order that Required Cable TV For Jails So He Hooked Up The Cable TV Again Only Let In The Disney Channel And The Weather Channel. When asked why the weather channel He Replied, So They Will Know How Hot It's Gonna Be While They Are Working ON My Chain Gangs. He Cut Off Coffee Since It Has Zero Nutritional Value. When the inmates complained, he told them, 'This Isn't The Ritz/Carlton.....If You Don't Like It, Don't Come Back.' He bought Newt Gingrich's lecture series on videotape that he pipes into the jails. When asked by a reporter if he had any lecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series might explain why a lot of the inmates were in his jails in the first place. More On The Arizona Sheriff: With Temperatures Being Even Hotter Than Usual In Phoenix (116 Degrees Just Set A New Record), the Associated Press Reports: About 2,000 Inmates Living In A Barbed-Wire-Surrounded Tent Encampment At The Maricopa County Jail Have Been Given Permission To Strip Down To Their Government-Issued Pink Boxer Shorts. On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached 138 Degrees Inside The Week Before. Many Were Also Swathed In Wet, Pink Towels As Sweat Collected On Their Chests And Dripped Down To Their PINK SOCKS. 'It Feels Like We Are In A Furnace,' Said James Zanzot, An Inmate Who Has Lived In the TENTS for 1 year. 'It's Inhumane.' Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic. He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: 'It's 120 Degrees In Iraq And Our Soldiers Are Living In Tents Too, And They Have To Wear Full Battle Gear, But They Didn't Commit Any Crimes, So Shut Your Mouths!' Way To Go, Sheriff! Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves. Sheriff Joe was just reelected Sheriff in Maricopa County , Arizona
  9. There would be no logical alternative but to vote conservative. Don't forget that when New Labour came to power they moved so far away from 'old' labour towards the conservatives They picked up all the disaffected conservative votes plus they retained all the labour votes of the traditional labour voters who at that time could see no viable alternative. Today things have changed so radically from traditiional labour and unfortunately these traditional voters only have one logical alternative - BNP!. The disaffected conservatives will either return to the fold or also vote BNP. The Liberals and others I feel will gain no new ground, so-called 'green' parties have been shot in the foot by the major parties willingness to fund any green issue by increasing taxation. The only vote ATM is conservative. Many people will see the BNP as an alternative due to other issues, especially employment and reluctance to support the two major parties. God Help Us if they get a substantial foot hold.
  10. I've seen them, I will give you nothing for them. Could you deliver please?
  11. It's not the fuel prices quite so much that bothers me although that is becoming a huge consideration. I am also very worried about the cost of road tax. I recently sold my 300zxtt but I have retained my 260Z. My intention was to sell all the old stuff and buy a 350Z however I see from the last budget that the crafty buggers have increased the road tax on these cars to £400 in 2009. 2008 tax rose slightly as it always does but the Big rise was hardly mentioned and only appears in 'the small print' I personally cannot justify paying that sort of price when I can run a small car at 60mpg and £35 pa tax. Whilst I am very anti this government I do not forsee any immediate change in fuel prices or road tax should any other party oust them from power. So-called 'Green Issues' are a platform for any government to impose ridiculous taxes on us, the electorate, at random. without any real consideration for our personal circumstances, our hopes, hobbies or ambitions. I think the days of old cars are numbered. We will be forced into scrap yards by politically motivated taxes, rules and regulations all under the umbrella of 'Green Issues'
  12. over there we are still in shock!:o They tell me that the word 'gay' is no longer used. It has been replaced by the word monkfish!:D
  13. I'm just glad that someone else gets shit too.
  14. I'm in Rainworth and will be at Z008 with my van if that's any help to you.
  15. From The Highway Code Overtaking 267 Do not overtake unless you are sure it is safe and legal to do so. Overtake only on the right. You should check your mirrors take time to judge the speeds correctly make sure that the lane you will be joining is sufficiently clear ahead and behind take a quick sideways glance into the blind spot area to verify the position of a vehicle that may have disappeared from your view in the mirror remember that traffic may be coming up behind you very quickly. Check all your mirrors carefully. Look out for motorcyclists. When it is safe to do so, signal in plenty of time, then move out ensure you do not cut in on the vehicle you have overtaken be especially careful at night and in poor visibility when it is harder to judge speed and distance 268 Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake. In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right. Do not weave in and out of lanes to overtake. Whilst you may want to form your own interpretation of the above you really should bear in mind that many people have already tried and failed. As far as the courts are concerned the Highway Code is The Law. If you pass on the left you can be found guilty of contravening S2 RTA (Dangerous driving) this has a prison sentence ,the minimum is S3 RTA (Careless Driving). With the number of cameras and unmarked traffic cars on the increase you have to ask yourself if you really need the points, heavy fine and inevitable ban. By the way, one car hogging a lane is not 'congested conditions.'
  16. Sadly people are only just beginning to realise that Gordys Arrogant Mob are not the motorists friend. Nor are they any longer the party of the working class. You will have to hope that whoever you vote for next includes the abolition of these severe penalties against the average motorists in their manifesto. Unfortunately the more this shower of poo does to us they greatly increase the chance of the BNP achieving power.
  17. when we kept pigs we used to sell bottles of pig shit via Private Eye to send to someone you hate. It was ok until the carriers realised what it was! Couldn't use GPO because of postal regs then the carriers used the same excuse.
  18. well said vini. too many whingers about atm.
  19. the man you want on the z club site is moggy240.
  20. this is another glaring example of the misuse of fixed penalty notices. It's disgusting. I'm sure a few words of advice would have been far more effective.
  21. slape as a soap-boilers arsehole - a person not to be trusted.
  22. There is a Ford colour, I think it's Vista Orange, which seems similar.
  23. get some real class..........try Derek and Clive "This bloke came up to me." It's on u tube but I can't do the link.
  24. I was thrashed by my Dad as a child. My teachers would either cane, slipper or ruler me. If I even looked at a copper as I passed I would get a thick ear. If my Dad found out about school or the copper and he invariably did, then I would be thrashed again as they wouldn't have given me enough. Never did me any real harm. However both my boys soon learned to run very fast!
  25. I use a lot of flyers in my business and have always been told (and found it true) that it's cheaper to have them printed unless you only want a few. Also A5 is as small as you want to go, any smaller and folk don't bother to look at them.
