  1. Thanks madmax. I see you need to cut around the bumper bar aswell if you want to keep the foggies in place. I don't mind cutting the bumper but it would bring a tear to my eye :p
  2. Sure for somebody in desperate need of the part I daresay it would be worth the going rate and more, but I just mean in general buying and delivering (or picking up in 90% of cases) a gearbox is often more hassle than many people are prepared to go through. Then there's fitting it :crying: I got my LSD prelude box for 30 bucks even though the going rate is easily 200+.. the fella just couldn't sell it due to his location.
  3. Hmm.. our local karting track (adapted for car sprint days, still tiny) is 130 quid for 8 laps
  4. a) because its a heavy spare which is manky, used, and a pain to transport.. b) because he found out it wasn't capable of handling the upped power through trial and error ;)
  5. Hey man, see the Z in the background of the bottom picture with those Volk 6-spoke rears, who has that?? My dads got a set of 7's and 8's for his soarer but really wants a pair of 8's or 9's for the rears if the fella would be interested in selling em? Im sure price wouldnt be an issue ;)
  6. Sorry just before I grab an FMIC I was wondering what customising was needed on the Z, front bumper grill need shaved down a tad from behind?
  7. Saw a burgundy Z virtually identical to mine but with some bonnet vents! Looked swish.. come on then who are ya :tt2:
  8. ^^^ LOL Just got this.. If you went and bought an fmic you'd have expected to know why you bought one before hand and how it plumbs in.. not meaning to sound cheeky or anything like that, but they are fairly straightforward assuming you know a little about engines, but if you don't why'd ya buy one :p But you're right they do look the tits. It should be straightforward but you may find you have to cut little bits here and there of surrounding plastics and may also need to fabricate some brackets to hold it in place. Good luck
  9. lol what you cannot embed vids here? ok http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2EIDyWExgI&hl=en_US&fs=1&
  10. You can hear the sound at the beginning of this vid of what flutterdump/bovless sounds like!
  11. Yo Ossain, when you heading up this way, will you be near Inverness at all?
  12. Lol at djtomo, your dog is as heavy as me!
  13. Facebook plus - easier to hook up with girls you don't know or would never have otherwise met. It's cheaper than texting. Facebook minus - I get forced to harvest crops on my mums farmville which takes 20 minutes + now. It ruins lives. It's something else to add to the arsenal for bitchy girls. I can happily say I don't log into mine more than twice a week at most. It's just so crap!
  14. I had a gang of youngish lads (17-18) give me the hassles yesterday whilst I was sat in my Z. Just trying to bait me to look big infront of their chav lassies. Thing is a) they are only doing it because they are bored and dont expect somebody to stand up to the mark and b) if I did anything I'd be done for assault whilst all they are guilty of is aggrivation. It's a no-win situation really, but I did follow one bloke once he split from the group up to his front door and he noticed that I did. I do have a nice scary mate but he was too busy eating :(
  15. Wouldnt worry about the light that could just be a wire out you'd have to take her out and test it - once you click the button the revs should drop. You could jack the whole car up and brick it I guess and run it slowly through the gears but that's potentially risky. Hey do you have an email/msn mate I was wantin to ask you few details about your car as it looks sweet!
  16. Hmm some replicas you can get away with, cobras and GT40's for example as they have really been done to the highest level. But Lambo's and Ferrari's in my opinion need to be the real deal, it's not hard to spot a fake and then it becomes a bit gay. Frankly a nice looking NSX would be better than a poor lookalike Lambo anyday.
  17. 300bhp at the fly ... stand in my wake hahaha, nah but seriously I'm so jealous of you guys :(
  18. Im from Scottyland but afraid I'm up in the Highlands, not too sure if theres many other owners up here as I haven't seen another Z in the last 9 years.
  19. OK My car currently has a set of springs on it, however the front sits at a brilliant height and the tyres just tuck into the arches nicely, but the back has about 3 inches between the tyres and the arches. I'm not sure of the brand of springs on my car, but I want the back to drop as low as the front- I know springs are a funny one and tend to result in a rear or front biased drop but does anybody know of a set of springs for the 300 which will give a nice even low drop? Having had about 6 sets of really expensive coilovers I don't think I'm interested in going down this route again as the road to my work is too unforgiving (potholes, raised drains, cracked tarmac the works). Also any pics from the side so I can get an idea would be just fabby :sweatdrop:
  20. ps. running bovless is NO worse than running atmos bov's, one shags cats, one shags turbos.. they are both done for the noise regardless of how many hundreds of pounds one spends on jdm tyte valves. Also having had cars with atmos bov's, this drives smoother and better than having the pressure dumped. What's the big deal? If you're happy running recircs then thats brill - I sadly need simple things to amuse me and I love tinkering :p - what I did find hilarious though was proclamations that the VG engine was completely different to any other turbo engine and shouldnt be tarred with the same brush, utter cobswobble. :)
  21. lol mate, turbo's dont last forever anyway they are a stressed piece of equipment - they would be due a refurb at 100k or so, if having cool sounds only results in 10k less before rebuild it's of no fuss to me :) I'll pop up a vid of the sound it makes in a few days!
  22. If you're 17 and your mates are fresh out the special van then yes this is a likely scenario. I wouldn't want to drive my car anywhere near that bag incase the rust was infectious. More to the point, it's not individual at all - oooh a deliberately rusted bonnet, there's no other rat look cars sporting one of those :glare: We all follow trends to some extent but it's blatantly copying a hoarde of similar motors. I had a toot down the road the other day with a nice mk1 GTI golf which was immaculate and very nicely modified, I had it hands down performance wize but I had huge respect for the owner as he obivously cared for his car - anyone who deliberately ruins a car to make themselves look cool shouldn't be considered an enthusiast in my opinion but each to their own
  23. oh edit- before anyone comes back, I didn't do it for any performance gain (as that would be pretty ridiculous), I did it for the noise - exactly the same reason people use atmos jobs :)
  24. Well I've probs done about 1500-2000 miles with a good dose of hard driving since I performed the modification... not one single problem yet, and I don't get any of the pops/bangs out the exhaust associated with running atmospherics :) Also it sounds sweet!
