anyone help me .......
ok I will look them out tomorrow night when I get back from work, I'll give them a clean with the brush attachment on the angle grinder. Cut down on some of the rubbing :) Think they may be too big for your motor, but suppose its worth a try. Are you still in Langlees? I can drop them off if you let me know where.

Anyone want to meet up in livingston first, or are you all happy to head straight there? http://www.multimap.com/maps/?zoom=16&title=Brucefield%20Farm&countryCode=GB&qs=EH549BU

anyone help me .......
Do you know the size of discs, as the earlier NA's apparently have a narrower disc than the TT's I got discs of ebay that were reasonable, failing that thompson's, back o hill stirling are a motor factor that are good, but because your car is an NA they might not be able to help. I have the old TT discs that I changed, problem is they have been outside a while and have a lot of surface rust. They may clean up but I doubt it.

Probie in Scotland (troon)
Welcome to the club, looks like a nice car youve got your hands on. As Craig says we have a meet planned this week in Livingston. Next month we are heading north for a long weekend touring the highlands. If there is enough interest I will try and arrange something the following month through the west coast

What welder and accesories do I need?
Have a look at this site, lots of info and tips. http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/index.php Clarke seem to get a decent name if you are buying something in the budget range. Have a look on ebay you can pick up some decent 2nd hand ones.

By that do you infer Brucefield aint good, or is it your just a greedy git and want 2 dinners :gun_bandana: Craig, Shrek will be delighted you come along, as the youngest, he normally gets all the "young chav" abuse from the rest of us.....I think he is looking for someone to take over the title :)

Air Filters
Cheers Si, think I'll order up a set then.

Air Filters
Its well past time I replaced my air filters. Most on here recommend Apexi filters, but as I have a twin cone set up that would mean buying two...a bit costly given the price they are going for. Also more importantly I dont think they would fit the adaptor I have as they are just too wide. After hunting around I can get AEM Dryflow filters with the dimensions I need. So far all the write ups I have seen have been from the states but seem to be pretty positive. Has anyone had any dealings with AEM kit, quality etc ?

April Meet
After much deliberation it was decided the poll sucked. It was supposed to make it easier to choose :hammer: Looking through all your comments it seems the best time is going to be the Wednesday night. The April meet will therefore be on Wednesday 14th, 7pm The Venue, a slight change but still the livingston area, Brucefield farm (Omar -thanks for the tip) http://www.crowncarveries.co.uk/find-us/brucefieldfarm.html Unless of course you all demand your KFC fix.

Dangers of the motorway
There is a huge blindspot to the front of most trucks, which aint helped when drivers start stringing mascots flags etc across the windscreens. lots even fit shelfs across the dash to rest their tv's and laptops on! There have been a lot of fatal accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists, due to the blindspots, downward facing mirrors are now a requirement to try and combat the problem but they wont prevent every instance. Saying that I cant work out how the driver in this case doesnt know there is something wrong, even if he cant see it he must have felt it.

hhhhmmmm think I will randomly pick Tuesday as well then  I was going to set up the poll as a multi choice but thought we would end up with no clear choice.....best to just pick which day suits best

April Meet
Ok, time to arrange the next meeting guy's Now that Craigs finally got another Z, I think its about time he comes along to one of our little gatherings. So this meet will be arranged to correspond with his return from his floating north sea hotel. As Shrek cant make it until after the 10th, I will start the poll from Sunday 11th April, and will pick the date that suits the majority I'm ok with any date, however I know some have family commitments at the weekends so it may be preferable for another week night meet The April meet will therefore be on Wednesday 14th, 7pm The Venue, a slight change but still the livingston area, Brucefield farm (Omar -thanks for the tip) http://www.crowncarveries.co.uk/find-us/brucefieldfarm.html http://www.multimap.com/maps/?zoom=16&title=Brucefield%20Farm&countryCode=GB&qs=EH549BU Unless of course you all demand your KFC fix.
