1. Glad you got it sorted out. Apologies for mucking up the pm, :o must be old age.
2. Yes and they seem to be pretty good quality.
3. Could be wrong but I think they are all the same. good to see they are doing the backs now, when I did my front calipers they were only listing rears for a z31
4. No a shocker dust boot is not part of the test. The only dust gaitors that come into the test are front outer CV gaiters and steering rack gaitors. The reason being steering can be seriously affected if water or dirt gets in.
5. He has tested it to the wrong standards It hasnt helped that your V5 is showing the incorrect year of manufacture, I presume he has mistaken the car for a 350z because of the incorrect date on the V5. TBH if the car has been tested in the last couple of years then all its details will be on the MOT comp system...there is no need for him to re-enter it. Problem now is there is an incorrect record of the vehicle on the system. Also as your previous MOT still had time on it, the car is still in test, just because he incorrectly failed it does not invalidate the previous years test. Ohh and gimmie a minute or two and I will PM you
6. lol, you'd just end up breaking another Z. Could be something we look at for next year though, probably a bit pricey so more than likely we would need to team up with other clubs!
7. Nope! sorry to raise your hopes. Its the nickname given by bikers to a section of road that they like. search youtube for Scotsburgring
8. The road on the clip is on the way to Fort William, and part of the route that hopefully a few of us intend taking next year. Plan is to head up to Ullapool via Applecross. Some great roads in that area. Might even talk the guys into taking a trip round the "Scotsburgring"
9. Failing that there is a list of garages on the Scottish region forum page, but for Edinburgh the garage that zerocooldel pointed out is probably the handiest.
10. Shoddy workmanship, someone has taken the quick and easy route. Although the exhaust will be secure enough "for the time being" the tank isnt designed to support any weight or vibration at that point. Although the chances are probably slight there is danger of damage to the tank imho.
11. Obviously they were enjoying the scenery.
12. I suppose it takes Allsorts when choosing the colour scheme for a car
13. A bike vid of our usual May route, need to make our own sometime...or then again might be better if we dont :)
14. Yes it was common a few years back, quite a few of us had the same problems. It was down to uprated front tension rod bushes. Do a search there was quite a bit of discussion about it
15. Increased HP and better fuel economy, plus it will make your engine last longer ?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-Supercharger-Turbo-for-NERVANA-350Z-300-ZX_W0QQitemZ300366707358QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item45ef403a9e FFS Trading Standards could have a field day with the claims this lot are making, the sad thing is that someone will buy the crap!
16. ^^^^^^ lol funny you should say that, this one was just tested the end of September.
17. Watch out for rust for Discos of that sort of age. Was shown a 95-96 model today with the boot floor shot, the owner opened the tailgate lifted the carpet and there was the fuel tank in full view. chassis can also be a problem area on them.
18. wasnt a fast fit place that told you they needed doing was it by any chance ??, "and by pure luck theres a special on discs and pads this week, only £1500 all in" Only reason for changing those is if they are warped. Plenty of meat left on them.
19. Cheers, added the garage and glad you got the car sorted.
20. You could always join 2 or 3 of them up to make the size you need
21. Good that you got it sorted whats happening with the blue one then?
22. :D were they American seagulls, looks like theyve been carrying out a bit of shock & awe bombing.
23. Lovely looking motor Craig.
