  1. Cheers for that, just hope it dosent clash with JAE, I'm hoping to go down to that next year.
  2.:rofl::rofl: class! best post for ages...even if I did nearly choke on my beer. Should have the welder to you this weekend, After constant work, holidays, crap weather, running out of argon, then stainless, ive only a little bit more fabricating to do and think my bbq project will be finished on Saturday (or at least the welding part) Give you a shout when I'm done.
  3. No probs, the offer still stands just let me know.
  4. Spawny git!, wish it was me. Enjoy yourself mate, hope you have a great time :D
  5. After following some of the other threads, thats a big "If", no hang on its a fookin huge "If". Tell you what if you havent got it back, and you want to come along and meet the guys let me know I will cut across country and pick you up.
  6. looks like they kept the anti freeze up to strength though :)
  7. Only time will tell who will turn up, its always the case that one or two do drop out, which cant be helped. It would be nice if some of the NE guys could attend as well though! Once those going confirm, we can arrange a meet point to head down together.
  8. That aint good! Could still be a master cylinder problem, even with a good flow at the nipples, the fluid will take the path of least resistance. But then it could be a number of other things. Ive seen as you say a change of brake pads causing similar problems, with the pedal really spongy until the pads had been given a good bed in. Something else you could try is clamping off the brake hoses to see what your pedal is like, if its really hard you will know the master cylinder is ok, the fault will be at a caliper, a process of elimination should pin point the offending corner. If the pedal is still spongy the fault is either likely to be the master cylinder or air trapped in the abs unit.
  9. Baws!!! saw the title and thought there was gonna be naked wimen sprawled over the bonnet! Still the motor looks good, love the rims.
  10. It's possible that disturbing the system has fooked up the master cylinder seals, causing the fluid to bypass. Whats the flow like when you open up the bleed nipple?
  11. About time too! :) Welcome back, see you at some meets soon!
  12. Sounds like a bearing, what area is the noise coming from?
  13. Isnt it the same based engine though (M57) just uprated.
  14. The exceptions will be the imports that have been here for a while, as far as I can tell there isnt any difference between JDM and UK rustproofing. its just that the UK cars have spent far longer in the British climate, exposed to salt etc. Give it another couple of years and most of the imports unless mollycoddled will go exactly the same way.
  15. Not the 3 series, but I have the 530D, pretty sure it will be the same engine. Its a good engine with plenty of power. It isnt without its faults though. Ive changed the MAF on mine a common problem apparently. BMW £170- Euro Car Parts £56. Some of the forums state that the turbos go, no problem with mine as yet touch wood. And the automatics and lm sure later manuals are fitted with little flaps in the intake manifold which detach and go for a little trip through the engine. Results = new engine required. Tbh I never really was that much a fan of BMW before, but after this one I am, the build quality is good and it drives well for a 9 year old car with 150000k on the clock. Ive even got used to the bus sized steering wheel now
  16. Andy will have to arrange a child minder before he can commit, his wife works Sundays!
  17.
