Glencoe Run
Yes that would make sense, however its not quite as easy as that, some people may have had to arrange this with work and family so its not really fair on them to change it at the last moment just because it might rain on Saturday :). ( It could rain any day we pick, this is Scotland). Unless everyone who said they were coming posts to say they are ok with changing to the date to the 27th the right thing to do is to run it as planned.

Glencoe Run
Just checked the Met office site and they have Sat as being cloudy with sunny intervals. Went back to the BBC site who had it as pissing down, they have now changed to sunny intervals.....wish the fookers will make up their minds. Im all for keeping this Saturday as the day, but have no problems going with the concensus if the majority of you want to change to a later date! Only date I cant make is 20th.

Clownpants
Clownpants is about an hour up the road from me. I went up to collect some parts, tbh he dos'nt seem the type of guy to rip others of. I'll see if I still have his number, but I dont have his address, the car was at his inlaws when i collected the parts.

How bad is the wing? if it is only the wing thats damaged I have one you can have to keep you mobile. Its not in the best of nick and has previously been repaired but it will keep you on the road till you can get something else fixed out!

Some folks make you mad !!!
John That warning has been doing the rounds for ages, I was first told of it about 16 yrs ago whilst working in an Iveco dealership If I remember rightly it aint just silicone hoses but a lot of the plastics etc in electrical components and wiring are also a danger, apparently though the conditions and temp of the fire required for this to occur mean that its a rare to actually happen.

Tan Hill Meet Pictures
Just seen this thread, some great pics it looks like you had a great day for the meeting. Hopefully I will get to pop down to one of the future meets at Tan Hill. Just one thing though (ok two) In the last set of piccies about the sixth one down I think, Is that a set of knightrider lights on the black Z ? :) and the next picture down from that, wtf is going on out on the rocks, and in broad daylight too!

Glencoe Run
Yeh but youve got a heavy right foot. tbh I cant remember how much I used but it would probably have been around 3/4 a tank. If you dont want to do the full run Pablo why not just come along to the initial meet up point at Stirling.

Glencoe Run
About 10 that will give us plenty time to wait for stragglers & have a natter. Also if any of the West coast guys wanna come along they can boot it up Loch Lommondside and meet meet us at Tyndrum.

towbar on 300zx..??????
 You cant get anymore club spirited than that. Long time no see Pablo, Smithys offer will probably be your best solution I cant see anywhere having an of the shelf tow bar for a Z nowadays. which means youd have to get one custom built, which dosent normally come cheap. You could try these places first though! http://www.yell.com/find/s/Vehicle-Accessories/Tow-Bars/UK/Stirlingshire/Falkirk,-Stirlingshire http://www.overlandcaravans.co.uk/

MOT fail :(
Not good when your told its failed, but at least the items arent serious and should be pretty straight forward to repair. One concern though! WTF do they mean by that? take it the caliper pistons are sticking and causing the bind you mentioned. If thats the case they should still have carried out a brake test, I cant really see a valid reason not to. What happens now if you fix all the points, take it back and the brakes dont meet the efficiencies or something else is highlighted, it means more time of the road and also likely that they will charge a full test fee as technically you are only entitled to one partial retest!

problems with 300
I dont know who is going to be local to you but if your really struggling I could come through some weekend so you can get a look at where the connectors and hoses are supposed to go! that is provided they are right on my car :D

problems with 300
Where in Glasgow are you?...with a bit of luck somebody local to you could bring over there car so you could see where the hose is supposed to go

problems with 300
3 1/2 years ffs what garage was that so that we all know to steer clear of! Regards the code, its not something ive delved into as yet. However the det sensors appear to be prone to failing which as far as I can gather puts the car into safety boost rather than causing a misfire. It might be worth doing the old fit a resistor trick to see if it helps. more likely youve still got an electrical problem such as broken wire or dodgy connection, or crossed over connection though.......provided they havent made an arse of the rebuild that is.
