Yeh it is a bit chilly for working outside, and an as you say it would probably start raining halfway through the job. Sorry cant help with a garage, mine is as much use as a chocolate fireguard for doing any work like that in, can hardly open the door far less hang upside down through it doing a matrix. Wrong side of the country anyhow.

Nah Last minute.com is when you come on 2minutes before leaving lol. As for which car park was hoping for some of the more local members to give a bit of advice, I dont know whats there! If we can meet up towards the entrance area then move to somewhere quieter once every one arrives. PS I wont be in the Z, its off the road for the winter. If you see someone in a BMW touring, heading towards you, that will be me!

Sorry to hear that. Are you sure it was the rod thats snapped, the standard rod seems quite sturdy. They do sometimes fracture the bottom suspension arm, and could possibly detach from it!

No plans to get rid of mine. Bought it as a hobby and an on going project, probably spent more time working on it than driving it, but loved every minute (well nearly). And plan to continue doing so for years to come:)

Thats ok, in theory it is a good idea, it would have to be done to a high standard to retain the chassis strenght though and that would be nigh on impossible for a MOT tester to determine so its just not accepted.
