Hicas light
Do you have an Aftermarket steering wheel ? If so, is it : a. Fitted with a Hicas compatible boss * b. Centred straight on ** *Most bosses out there are not Hicas compatible - and usually listed for the 300zx NA and 200sx **The Hicas will throw an error if the wheel is not centrered, and your driving in a straight line for a mile or so - as it thinks your making a constant turn - whichobviously you cant be - so it errors and shutsdown.

VG30DETT to VG30D Quick help!
yes, the manifolds are bolt on same fitment. But you will need all the NA Piping from MAF to Intake plenum. You also have the Turbo oil and water feeds to take care of as well. Then there is the ECU Mapping, it will run like a pig without boost, overfuelling most of the time, and you cant just run a NA ECU either, due to the larger TT injectors. and with such low compression it would just be plain embarassing performance wise. ..and all that work - Removing engine, stripping turbos manifolds, piping, then refitting engine ...just while you wait to refurb your turbos ?

Looking better?
if it looks 10 years newer....then yes, its perceived to be worth more. Nothing unusual there.

Congrats, I've a bit of a soft spot for clean White Z's

Looking better?
Since you asked.....in all honestly - no, big downgrade imo. 99 front is infintly better looking than the 89, and makes the car look easily 10yrs younger, fresher and more expensive looking. And while Im not a fan of Veilside kits usually, that particular rear bumper suits the car well, and is based on a Jap rear. The UK rear is not as nice as the Jap or the veilside. Sorry :blushing:

Is an auto TT slower than a manual?
It seems my dislike for Auto equipped Z's preceeds me:blink: How is "is an auto TT slower than a manual" an opinion based thread? sure, everyone can have an opinion - but it will either be right or wrong

0.5 bar boost?
There are about a dozen sensor failures (and error codes) that will cause safety mode.....code 34 being a common one. Yeh, with plenum removed (and the lower intake) you can get to the Det sensor. Its quite popular just to bypass it with a 1megohm resistor. The sensors do fail...epsecially if the engine has ever got hot at some point, but its more typical for the wiring to the sensor to fail.

0.5 bar boost?
nice one, good to have a UK supplier

0.5 bar boost?
tbh, the boost solenoids are the least likely. I would check the error code as mentioned above and do a Boost leak test. Make sure you get the car well into positive boost when you take it for a drive first. The best method for a boost leak test is using compressed air and a boost leak test valve which fits in place of your MAF. A number of forum members own one, but they can also be purchased from conceptzperformance.com and other U.S places Im sure. The first step in testing the boost solenoids is to check they are plugged in and getting a power feed.

0.5 bar boost?
Take car for a drive, then test ECU WITHOUT turning ignition off. Some codes are reset with ignition and only occur during driving. Other possibilies are boost leak or Faulty boost solenoids.

hid conversion kit
The Z has Projectors as standard, it does not suffer with Glare after fitting HID's like regular halogen headlights. They probably still wont meet the regulations though becuase of the other rules, but its only a few mins to replace them for mot with halogen bulbs if they do fail them. You would'nt need to remove the ballasts and wiring - if they are not plugged in then it cant be failed on them - Plus they are only simple 'plug and play' anyway. Upgrading the stock Z headlights to HID's is one of the best modifications you can make, even If you do have to replace them at MOT time at some point in the future.

One of the best zeds in the country!
My thoughts exactly. No doubt at lot of work has gone into it.....but there's no accounting for taste. Its Supposed to be a high performance sports car....its not anymore. I like the paint colour.
