Yes, handling and braking on older porsche's,ferrari's, lambo's...etc are nothing like their modern equivelants. The Zed beat the Porshe 944t and 928s on every road and track test. I expect it would also run circles around a lot of older "supercars". Most Porches however are not given the "supercar" title. 100bhp/litre NA cars (ie. Vtec Honda's) just have high peak power at the very end of their rev range, with sod all power lower down. Its not a true comparison. Its all time relative. Todays Supercars and very different to the "supercars" of the 70's,80's, early 90's......etc But no..its not a supercar, thankfully!...the media invented term "supercar" are cars at the extreme end of the market....not cars you can drive everyday. The zed is a sports car with supercar performance (for its time)...a "Super sports".

Take apart and clean your headlights first, makes a big difference. Mine like, everyone else's, were like candles at night, and after cleaning them they are as good as just about every other car I've owned. There is a HUUUUGE difference between HID's and Uprated bulbs.

But is'nt the NTL phone and TV package £10 a month ? (Im sure it used to be) , so your also paying £30 for 2mb broadband a month ;)

Long distance journey today, in the wet. Accelerating hard off slip-road when at 80mph and about 5k it felt like I hit the rev limiter...hard!. Then for the remaining 30mins motorway driving at a steady 70mph every few minutes it did the same...a hard jolt, like engine cut out, complete loss of power for a second then it will carry driving on again. Occasionaly it would do it repeateadly for a few seconds as if I had run out of fuel. Had only just put £20 in it and was on a 1/4, but I Stopped at services and put some more petrol in and it would'nt idle, cut out, had to rev it to start it and keep it running. 20mins down the motorway later it stopped doing it. PTU failure, Wet MAF/Apexi Filter.....a really had batch of fuel ? :confused:

Went a couple of years back. Pretty Interesting. Takes a couple of hours to go round it.

Presumably they dont like german cars either ?

"Super Sports" is the term the media has been using lately for cars like the zed. Higher performance that most sports cars but not "supercar" becuase of the other factors that "technically" define one.

Becuase in daylight when it rains and you put your side lights on, I cant see the clock or climate display, and they are not bright enough to dazzle/distract at night anyway.

Correct, No competition. Not a thought was given to it, they only ever had the 944t for the European market and the Corvette in mind as the cars to surpass. The less said about the Z31 the better ;)

Its the media that decide what is and is'nt a supercar, as the word "supercar" is merely a media invented term. The 300zx was named Japan's first Supercar by the Media. However I'd say a more correct term would be "Super sports". Corvette and 944T. Not the Supra as the Mk4 did'nt exist and the Mk3 was off no competition whatsoever.

£34,000, rising each year till it was closer to £40k at end of 1994. Translates to more like £50-£60k in todays terms. The 350z is a cheaper car aimed at a lower market compared to the 300zx. (350z aimed more at budget Porsche - The Boxter, whereas 300zx was aimed at the top of the range Porsche of the time, 944T and 928s)

so you want wastegate chatter ? The sounds is pressurised air bouncing back off the closed throttle plates and exiting the intake system via the impellor blades (backward) and then out through the air filter. The ch-ch-ch-ch noise is the air being "cut up" by the impellor blades as it stalls the turbo on it's journey backward out the system. Cossie's and some other Turbocharged cars give off that noise as they dont have recircs or BOV's as standard like the zed does. Basically, all you need to do to get the sound is remove & cap the standard recirculating valves and turn the boost waaay up. It is bad for your turbos - will reduce their life, and if you're unlucky, shatter the impellor. Not to mention the MAF getting confusd when the throttle is shut and causing fuellin issues.
