Just under £60k I believe. I really like them, athough they get a lot of critiscm for vague handling...like most Audi's unfortunatly. Would still have one.

Had what I believe to be PTU Failure symtons the other day. Went to remove PTU and its connector pins broke inside the connector (the larger connector with 7 pins). Got a new connector and harness and rewired it back together and connected another PTU. But now it only running on 5 cylinders. Cylinder 1 is the culprit. So far : a) Changed PTU (Unless this is the problem..it was fine on other car b4 removed) b) Changed Coilpack c) Changed Spark Plug d) Getting 12v with ignition on from coilpack connector But Im still not getting a spark ! As White-zed said Normally on Uk spec the fronts are side-lights, and the corner lights on the side are only indicators. For Jap spec the front lights are side-lights and fog lights and the corner lights are indicators only. Not sure about US spec...but yours do look like they may have the US setup side-lights - On with first notch on light switch and when dipped and Main beam on.

Wrong. Its an evolved 240z. The 350z was never designed to be in the same league at the 300zx, its a lesser car aimed at a lower and cheaper market than the 300zx was. A Budget Porsche(Boxter!) rival, rather than high-end porsche rival.

The 350z driver in that test was clarkson himself...and in the other test you can clearly see the 300zx bog off the line before catching up. Could go on all night with stats here and there. No doubt the 350z is 0.4 secs quicker 60-100 due to the 6-speed box,.......40-80, 50-90,100-150..etc could give completely different results. But I agree, at the end of the day the performance difference is minimal. The 350z is a decent modern sports car. Can't you keep it friendly?..lose the attitude! :mad:

Yes...and it still beat the 350z...twice. Yes, they showed a 5.0 sec 0-60mph for the 300zx, and 5.9secs for the standard 350z so exactly what was your argument ? :confused:;) I agree, but we were comparing performance. Most of the reasons for people not disliking the 350z (but many of us do like them) has nothing to do with the performance drop from the newer car. Other reasons can include looks, build quality....but a lot of it is defensive when those not in the know instantly presume its a better car, just becuase its newer. Despite it being aimed at a lower market, and with a cheaper new price tag than the 300zx. An extra 20hp on a 276bhp car is'nt going to make much difference.

Not on a Zed it does'nt Yeh, about 10-15hp on an otherwise stock engine..and then take into account that its had 15 years worth of wear and tear. Plus, at the time of the tests Gio had a boost leak and it was his first ever attempty at a "drag" race.. And since fixing the leak it has been dynoed at 284bhp fly. ...and thats not the only test...there have been others. It has been proven time and time again that the 300zx is faster and anyone that has driven both will tell you that while the 350z is quick it just does'nt pull like the 300zx does. There is not a huge difference in performance between a 350z and a Stock TT however. Im not critisicing the 350z, just stating it how it is in regards to performance. No idea what was wrong there..but clearly not accurate figures in the least. (look like NA figures!)

Yep, I've been a Bmw owner and fan for years.....but no getting around some of the basics - Similar weight, higher centre of gravity, softer suspension, skinnier tyres. Although most zed's are still running around on worn 15yr old Shocks, Springs and bushes and owners never know the true potential.

Not unless its a New M3...but I bet its smooth, quiete and comfortable.

yes, With the car is safety mode with a code 34 it had a big affect on performance. Seen 100bhp loss on the dyno with a car in safety mode. The Hesitation is more likely to be something else however. TPS Setting, Dirty thottle valves, spark plugs....many things
