  1. Non Turbo (Jap only) 222 bhp 198 Ib/ft 0-60 : 7.0 secs 0-100 : 18.6 secs Top speed : 140 mph (restricted to 112mph) Twin Turbo (Euro and Jap) 280 bhp - 300bhp 283 Ib/ft 0-60 : 5.5 secs 0-100 : 14.5 secs 1/4 Mile : 13.8 - 14.2 secs Top speed : 170 mph + (Uk restricted to 155mph and Jap to 112mph) Although, Car and Driver in 1992 got the following figures from a SWB TT : 0-60 mph: 5.0 sec. 0-100: 13.1 sec. Quarter Mile Time: 13.7 sec. Peak bhp difference is about 60-80bhp and peak torque is around 85 ib/ft difference. Although peak power does'nt fully explain the difference in power throughout the entire range. I have an TT Manual and an NA Manual and they are very different cars to drive in the way they perform.
  2. Best bet would be to have a word with one of the zed specialist garages in traders section. Diagnosing and quoting repair costs on a forum is difficult, it all depends on what exactly is wrong with your bottom end.
  3. Not standard, no. Do you have an aftermarket Alarm?..some of them have turbo timers built in.
  4. Yep, either fill the original holes, respray tailgate and fit perspex panel or fit tailgate skin.
  5. Its more important to keep a matching profile to stock, than to front and rear. The Profile is a percentage measurement rather than a sidewall measurement. 225/40/18 and 265/35/18 is a good match to stock and each other.
  6. 4 days left. I expect they will remove the listing near the auction end if it does'nt meet what they expect. Its been on ebay a few times. Convertables are NA only from the factory.
  7. It depends on the width of the rim. I doubt the front and rears are same width, if you can get 225 on front and 265 on rear. The width is usually printed on the inside of the rim. If front rim is wider than 7.5" then no problem going with the wider 235 tyre. Dot fit 265, it will give heavy, slow, vague steering and would rub like crazy. 35 is correct profile for a 235 18"
  8. ..and check for green corrosion inside the connector plug...may get lucky.

LOL...I've forgotten  , I was half asleep when I wrote it. I think I was using an opportunity to critise Vtec engines But I agree with your point about people disbelieving given power figures all to easily.

Impressive Many 'supercars' have less than 500bhp, and those that do have over 500bhp have huge displacements or use forced induction...and ofcourse they are deisgned purely for performance with no consideration for lifespan & economy(let alone reliablity!), compared to Mass produced performance engines. and the good ole honda vtecs....loads of top end power in a small powerpand and bugger all power in the most used rev range. Compare something like a honda 1.8i Vtec engine to a Turbocharged engine like the VAG 1.8T engines. Both give similar peak power, but the 1.8T has like double the power at every point below 6000rpm and is'nt anywhere near as highly stressed.
  11. Congrats on the Purchase :D
  12. Very easy. You just wire a 1megohn resistor into the Connector which is at the top of the engine. http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/detonationSensor/detonationSensor.html
  13. I would recomend http://www.directcircuit.com instead. Zxdriver has'nt been on this forum since november 2003
  14. no, that is spelt correctly
  15. Mike @ MJP in traders section for new OEM Nissan parts ! I do a lot of Website contract work for a Large Independent car parts supplier...and the markup on parts from Dealers are high in comparison ! Also, A lot of parts are not manufactured by Car manufacturers themselves, but contract manufactured through other suppliers so going direct to Independent traders can miss out quite a few middlemen.
  16. A lot of cars with Targs roofs can suffer this. Replace seals around targa, or there are products out there designed to be applied to seals to stop leaking.
  17. Not sure....I'd probably remove it ;)
  18. What fuel are you using...with a JWT and that boost level it should be Optimax(or tesco 99ron) only. Have a search on forum for reccomendations of John Dixon's chips....
  19. I've bought her, her own Zed !
