40 and 45 profile tyres on 18"RIMS
Thats an unusual way of raising ride height, Depending on how low you have the coilovers set with the higher profile tyres you may find you have to raise the coilovers to prevent rubbing anyway.

300zx N/A Vs. Supra N/A?
The NA's are so equal there is little to seperate them. Similar weight, similar power, and similar tunablity.
-
8000 rpm rev limit?
would need altered cams to make use of that power at higher revs and probably stiffer Valve springs.....possibly solid lifters.

Why are they so bad???
I would recomend the GTR setup over the Big discs with adaptors - Why? Becuase although the Big disc conversion will be a dramatic improvement and probably offer as much as 75% of the improvement that the GTR setup offers its all about value for money when you consider that some retailers sell the kit for £450, but you can get a GTR front setup for around £500 and sell your old stock setup for £100 ! If you can get the Larger disc conversion for cheaper, then its a better deal ofcourse.

Why are they so bad???
The best stock brakes I've felt on a Z32 were on a 1989 300zx NA (which has the smaller NA setup) .....becuase they had recently been refurbed and the Lighter NA weight helps too.
-
Why are they so bad???
R32 is lighter...but you'll also see a lot of R32's upgraded to the Brembo setup or larger.
-
Why are they so bad???
Both reasons ! 1. Many have sticking Pistons, so only operating on 2 or 3 pots ! Common problem 2. The disc size is to small for the Weight of the car and the Calipers are not as stong as the Brembo setup that many other cars received. The R33/R34 Skyline GTR got the better brakes despite being of similar power and weight. Other lighter less powerfull cars from other manufacturers got the same Brembo setup - eg. Mitsu Evo They have the brake setup the Z32 should have received as standard.

-
boot lock ?
Key cut is the same, its the groove along the length of the key (you should see the difference on your black and red blanks) that makes the difference.
-
Who still has their titanium key ?
These seem to be getting extremely rare these days. I imagine plenty of previous owners hold onto them when they sell on their cars.
-
boot lock ?
The Titanium and Black key are the Master keys and work all locks Red key is the Valet key and wont work the Glovebox or Boot lock.

Reaplcing stock fibreglass rear spolier
I would prime at a minmum, but as Primer is porous I would be tempted to paint it first before fitting spoiler.

QH belts
They are the Variable Timing springs, they can rattle at high mileage. There is one one Tensioner for the Cambelt, there are 2 Idler pulleys though (these only need replacing if the bearings feel rough and noisy - they are on the 120k list)
