  1. Digial was Standard on earlier cars, but became an option in later years (like series 3 or 4 onwards) when Nissan started saving costs. All convertables also came with Manual controls.
  2. Sounds good Andy. Congrats.
  3. No thats just a series 1 to series 2 upgrade. Both electric. Lots of done this, myself included. Its straightforward. I've not seen anyone do a Manual Control Pod to Digital Climate control upgrade though.
  4. I'd be suprised if it could cope with the changes enough to be accurate. There is always a delay with GPS.
  5. ....forgot to say..obviously I will be on there......wouldn't want to miss out ! :)
  6. I dont see the point in ANOTHER z32 forum. Already have 300zx.co.uk. Twinturbo.net, 300zxclub.com , aus300zx.com, Zclub.net, Nicoforums, and there are a couple of other smaller US versions all specialsing in the Z32.
  7. I would say that figure has to be incorrect. Commercial Haulage weigh bridges are often only accurate to (1/10th of a ton - 100kg), unless otherwise stated.
  8. More boost and the higher the boost = more wear yes. Regular 4000 miles or so, oil changes with good quality semi of fully synthetic oil. Avoid postive boost when the oil is not up to full temperate, and allow the turbo's to cool down after driving before switching off (by driving gentle for last couple of miles, or letting car idle for a couple of mins afterwards)
  9. 4600k if you want Pure white, 6000k if you want Slight blue tint. Any higher and your losing too much Illuminance. Lower number = Better visibility.

  11. Yes, although on the day prices are £30 per session
  12. was it mesh gauge type stuff ?
  13. There is no cable. its electronic. A gearbox oil and filter change could help though.
  14. Now that figure makes more sense than some others posted previously. I shall be weighing mine as soon as she is back on the road, got a pretty good idea of how much she should weigh though as have been keeping count of weight changes I've done.
  15. Depends how you define modified. At a minimum I would prefer different wheels, exhaust, clear wing indicators and 99spec rear lights.....but many would also consider that to be stock looking still.
  16. From what I was told today that will be a definate :) let me know how many admission and track sessions.
  17. Set of Jap wheels (7.5" all around) only tend to fetch as much as the tyres are worth second hand. Set of Uk wheels (8.5" rears) will fetch a litte more. But dont expect to get much more than £150 for a set with tyres.
  18. or http://www.blazt.biz to purchase cable seperatly from the software.
  19. But then how do you get the Hamster out ?
  20. The Nistune looks impressive, and just £200 for Hardware and Software  I was looking to get the Zemulator once I have my Wideband sensor but after reading the manuals and other forums Im favouring the Nistune now.
  21. wow, so its a genuine strosek ! Thats very unique, especially in the UK not seen any other genuines here, that values it much higher than a copy. That is a very good buy indeed !
  22. Being Japanese, and specifically a Nissan.....The 300zx is more realiable than most cars its age (in fact most cars its age have neen recycled into other metal objects by now!), but it all depends on Past maintenance history. While they can be cheap to buy now, they were £35k cars 15 years ago and Maintenace costs will reflect that. At this sort of age Wiring looms can become brittle and Water pipes may be past their lifespan. With Wear and tear items properly replaced, regular servicing and the correct parts used they are 100% dependable. Most owners will have had near troublefree motoring for many years, but some will have had to deal with costly repairs from either unwise purchases or purchasing an example thats had a hard previous life. Depending on your mechanical knowledge...in fact despite any mechanic knowledge it is wise to take somebody along who is familiar with the 300zx. Becuase of the current low costs Its all to common for somebody to purchase one that needs some money spent on it, and finding themselve not able to afford the maintenance and subsequently passing ithe car on with the required work still outstanding or having poor workmanship from inferior parts and inferior labour. Many mechanics will shy away from the car, through lack of knowledge, and finding a 300zx specliast garage or somebody you can trust to work on the car is not always easy.
